I have Type II Diabetes. I've been using this site off and on for about 60 days. It's been excellent for losing weight. So far I've lost 12 pounds.
The caloric numbers MFP calculates are pretty close to accurate, so let it set up the program for you. I found that I really have to watch and stick with my calories to really make things happen. Other than that, I'm in the gym five days a week doing a combination of weight training and cardio.
Sugar levels have stablized. A1c has dropped and I've lost 2 inches in a 12 week timeline.
