Kelly sounds like your son is happy. Let's raise our morning beverage and toast his happiness. May we all find our joys.

According to wii fit, I lost 4.2 lbs this week and went down in bmi. still considered obsese.... but not far from being considered overweight.
So now I'm down to 170.2lbs

I am happy w/the loss and I certainly hope it's not the start of another loss/gain roller coaster. What I did different this week was drink a lot of water. Some days 80oz worth. I did jog 1x this week, shoveled snow 1x this week and did 1 kickboxing class. Didn't log foods so I can't speak on that. There was one night that I had a chocolate overload (peanut butter cups & brownies)

So perhaps I need to drink drink drink water. And my goal is to do kickboxing 2x a week plus run 1-2x a week.

Besides the class I have a lot of errands today -- plus getting my hair cut. Hoping for a lunch date.

School is a 2 hour delay here.

    Good Morning Pepper's,
Well it happend :drinker: the scale moved in the down direction   192 this morning that is a 1 pound loss, it has been months since I have seen the scale move. Suprised me this is my aunt flow week and I did not eat very well. It must have been all the tracking through snow 2 hour commutes.

Barb glad you have a vent with your new class it should help a lot. :drinker: Nice loss

Kelly my DH is extremly OCD, it helps to make a list and check things off as you go along. I also start many things but finishing is the problem, now that I create lists I just work my way down it. You may feel better as you start crossing things off the list. I am very proud of you. I can see your thoughts changing in the right direction. Keep it up :drinker:

Mike thank you for creating the Green Pepper's. We are sticking together and I have seen you pop in once and a while. Your baby is very cute.

Jacque and Vita hope you are doing well. Check back later.

I hate it when you lose a post..

mornin' n happy Friday to ya SHGP's! I am sure feeling the support here..thanks for all your kindness! Celebrating with ya in a loss. down 4.4 to 189.8. Surely from all the right things I did this week. Cloudy here again, but over 30* eventually, so will be melting n thawing. Will be cleaning here today.

Barb & Cindy~ Kudos on the wt loss! Happy for ya!

Barb ~ I have always wondered if I just exercised more and drank more water, without changing my diet, that alone would benefit me. Damn roller coaster anyway. It sure can frustrate us! Sounds like you have a good plan there. enjoy your pampering at the salon and have fun with the lunch date **YOU** deserve it my friend!!

Cindy ~ you have been so patient...eventually the scale will move! I have done lists before and it does help. I just think my mind is always ahead of itself. dh says I don't prioritize my day. I can be doing dishes, leave and go to the bathroom to get the laundry take it downstairs to be washed and start doing things down there, then come back up and start picking up the house, or go clean the bathroom and then eventually, back to the dishes. No wonder I am a mess. Many times over the years I have been so irritated when dh or sons try to help me do something and they didn't do it my way or it was not perfect. that's just not right. I want to get better, so I hope increasing my meds helps, and if not I will go get my head examined!

will check in later and post my workout plan...yes, a list

Kelly my DH yells at my son all the time and when I look at it it looks ok but it has to be perfectly the way he would do it. It is very hard to get it right. He is getting better and realizing that it is because of him not my son. So when they help you remember to try to look at it from their sight not yours. Making a list helps as long as you put in the order of what needs to be done first. Then cross out as you go a long. People learn to live with it too. Now when I do something I think if DH was doing it how would it look and sometimes I did it his way. Both sides need to give a little so dont put it all on you. they get lazy. I was all over the house cleaning too. I realized I really did not get as much done just half of everything   Stick with it as long as you know about it you can adjust. :flowerforyou:

Kelly just want to let you know I am bad I know DH has OCD and if he ticks me off I mess with him, I dont hide it do it right in front of him so he knows I am messing with him. Like make a picture crooked on the wall and walk away. He will yell and say I will not fix it I know what you are doing. He will get up and fix the photo and I will laugh. Sounds mean but we can joke like that now that we know about it. It does get easier. Hang in there my friend

thank you Cindy, it really means a lot to me. I just felt like I had another thing wrong with me. I finally took a really good look at myself and my behavior... and my Dr said she was glad I told her. I haven't really told my dh yet, cuz, well, I really haven't seen him...he's been working OT. he likes to blame everything wrong with me on TOM..well, there's more to it. He is kinda understanding but can be verbally abusive and uncaring at times. I know he's not perfect and we both have faults. I don't even think dh notices how picky I am, he's so used to it now and expects it. So, if I am having an off day...say the house is a mess, really a mess...he'll ask me what I did that day...and I'll say, we'll the cleaning lady show up! ** and ya know what, this is like a huge plus for me, AND my family....when I am feeling like I should, good, positive, I cook. I bake. I plan and prepare meals.** That alone should be a sign to my dh when he has to start asking what's for supper!

hi all... back from my 2nd kickboxing class. This instructor spends the first 40 minutes of punching/kicking the bag. His ab program is vicious. Still I kept up... Today's class I was the heaviest. And I didn't kick as far up the bag as the others. But I didn't care...

Yeah to the weight loss. It's happy news when there's a loss from any of us.

Kelly, you're finding more support here than you probably imagined.

Off to do some housework before the next set of errands. No lunch date. It's ok.... Unsure if hubby is getting home on Sat or Sun. He texted me to say he needs to put me in a WW2 uniform so I can be part of the reenactments. He must be having fun.

    Good Morning Pepper's,
Figured I would check in while work is slow. I got a 25 min walk to work today :drinker:

Kelly you have a very busy exercise program, while walking this morning I realized how much I miss walking. Keep it up  you are doing great.

Jacque you will get back in the swing. I have not logged any food for weeks, but keeping track in my head calories I just dont have a lot of time to log. Your DD is beautiful. I would vote for her. a lot of the photos are kinda slutty looking for models. Hers is tasteful.

well back to work have a great day. If I can will check back in. if not will in the am.

Wow what a weekend, non stop and of course ate all the wrong thing. My DS best friend is getting married so we sprent all day Saturday making head dresses for the guest. The wedding is a Ressiance theme. my poor fingers are still sore from tying ribbons. My DS son is still having stomch trouble need to take him back to the doctr, he hawsnt been to school in a week. they think he has an ulcer, but I guess we better follow up. Had nursery duty again at church boy those kiddos can wear me out.

Kelly we just spent the last year and a half with my nephew and his DWI. It was a rough time. Not sure how the laws in Iowa is but in Texas they make it very hard for you to function after that. And the money you have to put out nearly destroyed my sister.

Barb you are so busy, I don't think I could ever keep up with you. Oh by the way can you believe they are talking snow in Texas by the end of the week.

Cindy I started walking again yesterday too, I miss it also.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Kelly sorry to hear that all you want to do is ask (What were you thinking?) we recently caught my 19 year old drinking (not while driving) but the lying to us is what he got in trouble for. Hope he learned his lesson.

Eating ok for the last couple of day. Getting busy will check back later.

runnin ragged here....took son to obtain an impounded release for his car @ the police department. then took him on to college. after 1 class I took him to the city Treasurer's office to pay the civil penalty. then back to the police department for proof of payment, insurance and ID. then back to college for 3 hrs of classes...and I am home now. the college is located on the farthest end of town that is 30+ miles from here and in the city where he made offense. I am going back to get him at 2ish w/my mom so we can get his car from impound, pay the towing fee with car ownership proof. I need to go to the bank to get his title and some cash. total spent so far is $667. that does not include any gas I used driving all over today, nor any of the fines for OWI, liability coverage & improper use of lanes. am sure we will be getting a lawyer as he had ins cards in his glove compartment box & wallet. ( he forgot about his wallet ). said the officer did not give him time to search his glove compartment, had him out of the car, doing field sobriety, breath test, cuffed and wallet taken. OWI charge ?$$, lack of insurance, $397.50, lane fine $195.00. am sure the OWI will be over $1000, and he could spend 2 days in jail, plus he will likely lose his license for 180 days. public defender and/or lawyer fees $$? and he will do a substance abuse evaluation program as well, $100 or so.

what a nightmare. yup, bad choice made. he told us when he left he was staying where he was going and not coming home til Sun. didn't. consequences suk big time. I am afraid he will not be able to go to Canada either. that will hurt him the most. so, it's been very tough for me. I love him so much and I hurt so much. no matter what, I will be there for him. he is a good kid, just made a bad choice and got caught. yes, guilty.

i need to run like 250 miles or something...this stress is killin me.

Kelly - join me in kickboxing. Towards the end of the class, the instructor had us beat the bag for 1 minute. We had to use all our energy to beat, beat, beat...... and the line the instructor used to motivate us was "Who got you mad today? Let them have it." I like this instructor!

To my great surprise, my 12 1/2 year old wanted to do the class with me. I took her last night so she could have 1 free trial class. To my greater surprise, she did the entire class and liked it. This is my exercise, nah, not today - can I bake something now kinda girl. And to my great surprise she said she was sore but it's a good sore. Even asked when can she go back.
My 14 year old wants to go to now.

Can't complain if both girls go.... except there goes my "me" activity.

Kelly so sorry it is so hard but we have to just stand by them they have to make some tough decisions and they dont always think first. My son has not gotten his drivers license. So has not had to make that one. They are turning into men and have to learn that their actions have consequences. Just wish it did not hit your pocket. :flowerforyou:

Well snowing here getting 4 - 8 inches today, tomorrow 4 - 10 inches it is crazy already. Will check back in a while.

    hey gang...

feel like I'm kinda slippin here....way behind on my workout plan, chores, bookkeeping, no desire to prepare meals for my family or myself. getting in touch with a lawyer about son. so many things did/didn't happen in his OWI. just the beginning for us...snow storm headed our way, early dismissal @ 12:15. on my am route I had 3 roads that were snowed shut. so, I stopped, looked at the situation, and thought do I or don't I? hmmmm. eh, what the heck, I'm going thru 'em...hang on kids! and lo n behold, surfaced on the other side. ok, mother nature, bring it. the drifts were just from the wind and a few inches we had lastnite...we don't have snow falling yet...I'm so fine with a snow day tomorrow!

will try to check in later...love ya all:heart:

Per the Driod - weather bug -- right now it's a 50% chance of freezing rain at my current location.

Did hit 2 patches of black ice on the drive in. Driving home isn't going to be fun.

Regarding our recent patch of challenges just like Kelly's driving through the snow -- Hang on cuz we're breaking through!

  • well all spaent all day at hospital with DS he was dehydrated and abdomen pain. So we had to rule out appendix. turn out his lymph nodes in abdomen were inflamed. It cause by a virus. He doing better since they gave him IV fluids. his blood pressure on admission was only 88/55. He is doing much better. If that wasn't enough my 18 DD decided to take off to Huntsville with an ex boyfriend for a couple of days. And it seems that we are going to get hit with snow and ice here and not to be ugly but Texans don't know how to drive in good weather let alone snow and ice. AGH!!!!!!!!
Kelly- We just went thru this with my nephew and it was a tough year. So sorry you have to go thru this. Hopefully he will learn his lesson. The worst part is the money involved in all this.
All- Be careful in the snow and ice.

Well another snow/sleet day, made it to work on time, even though I got the message late that we did not have to be in until 10AM. :grumble: I will leave early today it is going to get bad during my commute home. I maybe skipping second job depending how it is. Getting very tierd. Asked for one night off during week so she gave me it and the other center scheduled me. :grumble: Second job this is. so working over 30 hours on the second job and 40 my regular job.

Barb would love to go but tax season and that is what I do prepare taxes for Jackson Hewitt, have done this for 7 years now. Any questions on taxes and I can help.

Kelly hang in there and I hope you and DH get a day off together. I am missing being with mine, it seams I am home long enough to eat and sleep. But only until April.

Jacque praying your DS gets better soon :flowerforyou: DD drive you crazy I would rather have 4 boys to my one girl, my boy is my baby (big 19 year old baby)

Vita hope you are doing well, give us a shout soon we miss you

Well be careful Pepper's in this weather. Check back later

Sindy, I had a 2 hour delay as well. Unfortunately hubby did not. And I drive him in... so, guess who was at work early.... ME. Funny though others were at work too. Some didn't call the weather line & was unaware of the delay or decided to go in for a few hours of "quiet" catch up time.

Our Vegas trip was discussed for end of April (due to tax season). Until I get the refund, I won't be booking room or airline ticket.

It seems when one of us is having a tough road, another one is as well. We will manage through these rough patches w/the support of each other.

happy ground hog day all...I just came in from shoveling. I did the deck and the sidewalks, son will have to do the driveways. to be honest, I am in my glory ladies. I love winter and I love the snow. So, I am a little happy today just because of the dang snow storm. I know it is a pain for some of us, I understand your frustrations... so just hang in there, Phil says 6 more weeks!

dh left around 8:45. he called and said the roads weren't too bad, plowed pretty well. travel is not advised in some areas and some roads are still closed.

ds is waiting to hear back from police dept. his Itouch was stolen from his car, likely when it was impounded. when we went to get his car the other day, his window was down with a tarp over it???? his 1st hearing is Feb 18. dh said a lot of guys at work have heard that things get stolen at this business. as hard as this may seem for us, and the financial burden, when I step back and look at the big picture, it is minor compared to what some kids are doing. growing up is hard. I'm not gonna deny it, I think my son *parties* on the weekends only. He made a very bad choice and got caught. I know some of his other friends are doing the same thing. I hope this is a lesson for all of them.

Cindy ~ I think you're going to have snow til June there! taxes....how long does it take to get a corrected W-2 sent back? my oldest son worked for McD's last year and the W-2 had $0.00 for his Federal Withholding Income Tax. His pay stubs show different. Is it better to file separately or jointly for a married couple? thanks! :flowerforyou:

Jacque ~ how is your weather? this storm has affected us all cept Vita! glad your ds is on the mend. being sick and dehydrated is not fun. in general, I don't think my boys drink enuf fluids daily, I worry about that.

Barb ~ I definitely want to go to Vegas! I will charge the trip if I have to. my shoulder should be ok by then. My dh goes to Canada 3x year, usually without me, so I feel I can take a trip like this. you are all worth it! I think your dd's kickin' it with you is a good thing. working out with your family, can't beat that! guess you'll just have to go sit out in your Plum Crazy or take her for a drive for ME time! of course all the while jammin to the 80's!

Miss Vita ~ thinkin of ya n missin ya. take care sweets!

    have a good one friends...make it count!:flowerforyou:

    Afternoon Pepper's,

Kelly it really depends on the company for a corrected w2, it is not with in a couple of weeks I would call the company and ask them to fax it to him and if he is having a problem with the company he can call the IRS but it does take a while. Your other question can be a tricky one. Filing together is always best because you get credits that you qualify for, when you file separately you loose credits like EIC (earned income credit). But there have been some cases that separately would be better. It really depends on your situation.

Barb dont think I can afford to go. Really messed my finances up and have to use my refund to fix it. Let me know how much and I will see if I can come up with it.

Well back to work. Check back later.
