I have a question, I work night shift and I do not get enough sleep at all. I was wondering does a lack of sleep have an effect on my trying to lose weight?

My doctor told me that it does, but he didn't make it obvious to me why that would be true. The example he gave was that the daytime nurses at the hospital often were a normal weight, but many of the night shift nurses were obese even though they knew how to eat correctly and probably tried to lose weight.0

I know when I worked the night shift, I was exhausted all the time. I only worked 8 hours a night but it seemed like all I did when I was off was sleep or lay around. There has to be a way to do it, at the time, i didn't have to "want to" enough to figure it out.0
