Just wanted to let everyone know the difference between the word "lose" and the word "loose". I have read hundreds of posts and there seems to be a pretty common misuse of these words.

To use the word lose in a sentence: I want to lose 70 pounds by the end of this year.

To use the word loose in a sentence: My pants are now loose after losing 70 pounds.

I am probably not making any friends by putting this out there but I am doing this for the better of everyone.

  • lol thank you for clarifying that. I was spelling it lose but then I seen everybody else spelling it loose so I thought maybe I was spelling it wrong. I started to spell it loose cuz I didnt wanna look like I didnt know how to spell it. Thank you for posting the proper spelling cuz now I dont feel like I didnt know how to spell it. :)
