I've been using this site for about a month. I'm 50 years old and need to go from 140 pounds to 115 pounds. I've lost 6 so far. I find this site helpful as a place to log my intake. This is the first time I'm reaching out to other people and considering what role a community of like minded individuals might play in helping reach my goals. I am a realist - I know there is no magic to this and I know the ins and outs of my body pretty well. I have a slow metabolism and right now I'm not exercising much. I'm figuring about 1200 calories a day and a pound a week. that should put me in a sun dress by summer.

    You can do it!! Just keep your eye on the prize!! even though your not exercising you could take little steps to help your weight loss, by parking farther away from the door at stores and work, taking stairs instead of elevators etc. You can do this!
