Hello, I am fairly new to the site but i have been working real hard for a while now to lose weight. I usually ride the exercise bike 4-5 times weekly for thirty minutes each. other times i usually do taebo. A year and a half ago i weighed 170 (which was bad enough) and now i have hit that 200 mark and its killing me. i watch my calories and i really haven't gone over 1300 except for 3 days these past two months. Everytime i exercise its like it makes the number go a little higher. should i try something new in exercises? i really love to go hiking because i live right next to the mountain, but i dont have anyone to go with me... There are a lot of stories lately about bad things that have happened in the area from people on the trails up there. people are getting raped and killed up there and i dont like the fact of going up there. i dont want to risk it. also, I am on a birth control (the depo shot) and i know one of the symptoms are weight gain. I just couldnt handle those hard periods any longer. so my question is.. what are some of your guys weekly exercise schedules?

Sounds like you are not eating enough calories. Have you figured out exactly how much you need to eat to lose?? I am near that weight and I need to consume about 1570 calories per day, as I lose the number will go down. Make sure you calculated it right or else you may put yourself in starvation mode!!

I agree with 2shoes. I currently weigh just over 170 lbs and I should consume close to 1600 calories a day. You should also be sure the eat the calories you burn from exercising as well. A little strength training should help take some inches off and build some lean muscle.
