I have been lurking for a few months but this is my first post. I wanted to see how the calorie counting thing was going to go down before I made any real commitments. :P So far, so good. I have lost about 45 pounds and am about 1/3 of the way to where I eventually want to be. I have a cruise coming up in November (13 day transatlantic, shweet) that I want to be in shape and ready to roll (or not roll anymore) for. Went on a cruise last Nov. and looking back on the pictures was not happy with what I was seeing. I am 33 and am really starting to think about my health and the odds of making it to 66. I lost 110 pounds about 6 years ago but put the majority of it back on. I am really working on making a change in diet as opposed to dieting. Anyways, thats me for now.

Hello!..... You did a great job losing all that weight. But I'm with you, it's not just about losing weight, it's about eating healthy.

I would suggest the movies " King corn" and " Food inc".....they will help you understand why it is so hard to eat healthy....they helped me a lot.

There are many other movies about the foods we eat, but those would be a good start.

A cruise sounds fantastic... But..they do serve a ton of food on those cruises :-)....

    Good luck !
