Today is light weights/ and yoga day. I'll get a walk in, too, as I have an errand to run on campus.

Julie, your family is in my prayers. I hope for a smooth treatment and a speedy recovery.

Mary, careful with your back (Karen, too) you only get one.

Wanderin'. . .whoo boy, that's quite a decision. All I can say is I have seen some long distance things work. (they are not easy, but I've seen couples do it) Oh, and I found the weight routine in a magazine called "Clean Eating" (great mag, btw. . .) It has full body moves, incorporating upper/lower body. I think the emphasis on upper back and shoulders in the BL workout (even though I loved it) was killing me (well, at least it was straining my shoulders)

Arianne, I've been pondering the dress decision and I do think that the simple might be better. I'd spend my extra 200 on last-minute alterations so the thing fit you flawlessly, which I think would make you "project" better on stage.

Anyway, I'm off to try to do "eagle pose" (my arms really don't like to do that one. . . )

Thanks Viv...I'm just as worried about my sister-she is my best friend and I hate to see her suffer.

I did Level 2 Shred again. Thinking I might suck it up & try Level 3 by the end of the week. It's so blasted hot here that I'm not doing my walking. It was 80 degrees before 8 here and the forecast for today says "blazing hot". Nice huh?

My weight has plateaued again. Three weeks at the same weight. I've be contemplating taking a week & not being so cautious. I have seen a noticeable difference in the week I've been doing the Shred so if I'm toning up, maintenance calories for a week might do me some good.

    Happy Tuesday all!:flowerforyou:

    Hey everyone,
I'm still alive. I have completely fallen off the wagon. I don't think I ever got both legs back on since I fell off in February. I am going to try again starting today. My biggest problem is logging what I eat. I don't like doing it. It's not because I don't want to see how much I eat. It's because I don't like taking the time to sit down and log it! I am going to work on it as soon as I finish this post. I quit being so particular and now I am just going for whatever is closest in the list. I figure that's better than the nothing I've been doing!
Things are getting better with my son (he's made a lot of progress and is no longer severely autistic!), but he has 3-5 therapists coming over once a week to help him, and he's taking a couple of classes every week. I've been busier than I usually am. That and the heat: trying to figure out when I can work out and what I should do. I worked on the backyard yesterday, using the weed eater and oh my goodness! My arms hurt SOOO bad today! This morning I am going to go for a walk. I'm not sure how far yet I suppose to the park, walk there and come back which is about 2.5 miles. My son will want to play on the playground too. Then I have to clean the house before the therapists come over this evening.
Anyway, all that to say I am going to try to get my act together and check in everyday. I find myself getting jealous of other people's successes again, which is a sign that I need to get back to it.

Welcome back MM - my fellow sufferer in the Texas heat. Alas, I just looked at the DFW forecast, lucky dogs, only 91 today! (it will be 100 here).

Julie, I'm still thinking about you and your brother-in-law.

WL - I responded yesterday then thought better of it :embarassed: best of luck to you, whichever you decide.

Yesterday walked and yoga. Today is elliptical and the dreaded dance class. I don't know how much exercise I'll get from the first class, so I just count the elliptical. Maybe I'll surprise myself and have a good time.

    Hi All!

Welcome back, mechanicmom! I can't even imagine how busy you must be. I'm so glad to hear that your son is not severely autistc, and that you have the therapists to help him. And also glad to hear that you are slowly getting back into exercise...even just a walk is a great idea!

I feel for you who are suffering in the heat!

Arianne, if you are listening, I say spend the money on the dress that feels best --and alter it or do whatever you have to do to feel great in it! That's the best investment in confidence.

MWD -- how is the exercise cycling going for you? Have you noticed changes from rotating light weeks/ heavy weeks? I know your vacation was a success!

As for me well, it's back to a bit of normalcy. Pitcher is back in Chicago (pitching tonight actually!) and I'm here in L.A., getting ready to hit the road for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. It's weird, I don't for one minute worry about the situation or stress over the decision. I just know that everything is going to work itself out exactly the way that it should and meanwhile I'm loving every minute...life is just so good.

AND, today a cute guy at the gym complimented me at the gym -- told me I'm getting really toned (and then texted me later to say please don't lose the curves...lol)! It's just the BEST incentive when other people notice!

    Yesterday:
~ Went for a wonderful hike -- burned 850 calories
    ~ Weight-trained for 20 minutes
    ~ Stayed within my calories

    Today:
    ~ Yoga Booty Ballet
    ~ 30 minutes cardio
~ Keep within my calories, keep them healthy
    ~ Take my vitamins

22nd? I think it was a month from Victoria Day.

I love your attitude towards the future. Makes me happy.

Oh, and the cycling seems to be working - down another lb

    That is AMAZING!!!!

Jury is still out on if exercise cycling is working for me -- I was up a pound today but I'm not sweatin' it.

Sign me up for whatever exciting new challenges you dream up next...they seem to be working for you and I'm all about hopping up on that bandwagon!

Hey everyone, lets see, picked rocks out of my daughters non-existent lawn yesterday so they could seed it down. I don't know how those are counted. I can't remember if I posted this either. Today was a wash, I had to work 2 jobs and am just too tired to care. It's dark and rain is coming, yada, yada, yada. I know it's no excuse I'll try harder tomorrow:yawn:
