NSV that help me stay motivated

Of course, we all want to look good. I will not lie and say that I don't want to be able to wear a pair of shorts and a tank top this summer and not look like i was poured into them. Of course I want to be able to wear a dress and heels and not look like I'm going to tip over. But there are a lot of non-aesthetic things that motivate me as well.
And of course, losing weight has really helped my health (back issues, etc.). But I have been thinking about the non-aesthetic, non-health related, non-scale victories since I started losing weight
These are some of my small NSV's:
* being able to grab a bath towel when getting out of the shower and have it fit all the way around me (no more "bath sheets" for me!)
* being able to bend over and tie my shoes without holding my breath or feeling like I am going to burst.
* being able to wear jeans and have the denim weave (the natural lines in the fabric) go down in a straight line instead of rounded outwards
* being able to see my toes when looking straight down
* being able to do some of the exercises at the gym that I couldn't do because my belly was in the way (my poor trainer - the look on his face when I explained to him why I couldn't do certain things...)
* being able to sleep on my back (and stomach) comfortably!
* making up the small hill to the bus stop and not being winded
* fitting into one seat (instead of snagging a bit of the two on either side of me) - and not having to feel someone else's thighs on mine...
Anyways - these are just a few things that I have noticed - and they have really helped me stay motivated. Please share yours!

Good for you, it is those little things that help at time of doubt. I have a pair jeans that I was getting to big for and the other day when I put them on they where lose. So losing 7lbs is a big thing. Keep going and remember the little stuff.0

- fitting into movie theatre seats.
-painting my own toenails (cause the belly wouldn't let me reach before)
- getting up from the floor by just putting my feet under me and pushing up, instead of getting on my knees first.
- other people at the gym asking ME (who couldn't walk to the end of her driveway) advice about how to lose weight and tone up, cause even I have to admit, I have got killer arms now. Move over Madonna.
- more energy than I know what to do with. My favorite hobby used to be embroidery, haven't done it in months because I no longer have the patience to sit still for a good length of time to accomplish something on it.
FEELING GREAT AND LOOKING FINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
Good for you. It's great that you are focusing on all the positive things that you are able to do now. Keep up the great work!0

The one that's motivating me (not there yet, though):
-the ability to go to an amusement park and go on the roller coasters, without even having to wonder if they're going to tell me I'm too heavy / if the restraints won't fit
I used to love roller coasters, but I avoid them now since I saw someone only a bit bigger than me get turned away. The ride attendant was loud and obvious about it, and I couldn't take that!0 -
didn't realize I should have posted this in the NSV thread! Sorry to bulk up the forums!0

I wouldn't call it a NSV, but for me it's just how good I feel when I eat well and work out. I have energy, a nice endorphin kick, and I don't have that awful feeling of being so full that it hurts. I like waking up in the morning hungry and not bloated and yucky from a huge meal the night before!!0
