...understanding what is happening...Here's the situation, I went on vacation a couple of weeks ago, and for a week and a half I did not count my calories or exercise...:noway: (I did use portion control and took a couple of walks), and I lost a pound and a half. However, my measurements increased slightly. :noway: So, for the last 2 weeks I've been back at calorie counting and exercising nearly everyday and yesterday when I checked my weight, I'd gained 2 pounds:grumble: but my measurements decreased. What is going on???? While I'm only slightly frustrated:angry: I'm trying to determine if the weight gain is muscle or water or what....:ohwell:
If anyone has any advice, I'd greatly appreciate it...:flowerforyou:

    Hi!

IMO I would rather have the inches lost....I went through the whole gain or stay the same but inches lost thing as well.....and in the end my clothes felt better...so go by how your clothes feel...or take more vacations LOL:bigsmile: Seriously you are doing great and keep one foot in front of the other my friend!

    Peace~

when you are working out, your muscles they hold on to water to use when they are repairing themselves and growing. since you didn't work out for a week, they probably let go of some of it. now that you are back in your workout mode, you probably grabbed that water back up. that's my guess

Most likely you gained muscle which looks way better than fat- so thats why your losing inches- When I first started watching what I ate and losing weight I lost more inches than weight- thats why even though I still have weight to lose I wear a size 10- its great and all but drives me crazy because I want the scale to go down too. Now i am litterally fighting with myself to lose weight and its not happening
