Question: How long after my workout should I leave my hearr rare monitor on? I have been waiting til my heart rate drops to normal. Should I count all the calories burned until it returns to normal or just the calories burned while I am actually working out? Thanks!

I have only been counting the calories when I am in my workout zone. When I hit my heart rate zone, I start the stop watch, when I drop below during cool down I stop the stop watch. I have an old HRM that does not do the calories so after working out I pull out the calculator.
I found this formula on Livestrong.com C = (0.4472 x H -- 0.05741 x W + 0.074 x A -- 20.4022) x T / 4.184.
I prefer to under estimate a bit that way when I eat back my calories I am still under a bit.0 -
