I would reduce your carbs and eat 6 meals a day. Lots of fresh veggies!
Good luck!0 -
defiantly watch your sodium! and drink lots of water
as well as eat all your calories! and a portion of the calories that you exercise or your body will eventually go in to starvation mode and start to store any fat that you eat0 -
I keep lots of sugar free gum in the house. I also brush my teeth after each meal (after having the mint taste I no longer feel the want for more food). I use to aim for 6 to 8 glasses of water each day. Now I'm not happy unless I get 10 to 12. The difference for me and be drinking enough water. Sometime I know but have a hard time doing sometimes. Good luck you can do!0

i find it helps me to plan out my meals for the day instead of just winging it and wondering what I am going to eat. I tend to over eat when I dont have a plan.. good luck..0

Cutting soda is a big thing..it was for me but I did it cold turkey. With saying that, I did get minor headaches during my first 2 weeks. So I would have a small cup of cappuccino every two days (Maxwell House french vanilla 65 calories 1 1/3 tbsp). You gotta drink lots of water and eat healthy. You don't have to eat salads all the time (that got really boring to me). I would grill chicken breast and fish. You have to get creative when it comes to healthy foods..there are good recipes on the forums here.
There are several workout dvds if you don't want to go to the gym. I have 3 Biggest Loser dvds and they're great. I'm at stay at home mom, so going to the gym right now isn't an option and walking outside in the snow with 2 little kids isn't going to happen.
You can do this!0 -
decrease carbs increase protein..drink water..you can do it..good luck..0

Eat every two hours and drink as much water as possible high protein low carb is always good but don't get frustrated as sometimes it takes a little tinkering to figure out what works with your body for example if I don't have some kind of a cheat day or meal a week and stick to my 1320 cals and don't eat my excersise cals it doesn't drop ANY but if I stick to it give myself a break (on a day I work out) my body doesn't hate me and I don't feel like crap which is ultimatley why we do this right? to not feel like crap. Don't worry everything will happen but don't get frustrated because you had the sense to ask around to see what the scoop is its aparent YOU CAN DO THIS!!! (golf claps)0

I use the app on my phone and really track every calorie. It holds me accountable and if I have a day I go over it helps me get up early the next day and work out even if it's for 15-30 minutes before work. Also try keeping a picture of him on mirrors and in your purse as motivation. Visualizing your goal REALLY helps!0

I would agree with what people are have already said. Definetly drink A LOT of water and more fresh veggies and fruits. Planning your meals may help you until you get things going. Congrats on the smoking and soda, that was a major change right there. Not sure if you have cable and if so what cable company but we have Comcast and there are a ton of workouts on the OnDemand channel. Just a thought so you dont have to go out and buy dvds or go to your library and check the out until you find one that you like. We're all in the same boat and all have the same goal....we're here to help!0

It's scary but I would weigh yourself. I do it once a week. Also hidden calories in the liquids we drink, small amounts of butter on our toast or even oil in the pan add up quickly. Alot of times we think we are hungry when actually we are thirsty. Drink water when you get that feeling. Eating healthy doesn't take a break. It takes a commitment. You can do it!!!0

I agree with everyone...WATER is a natural appetite suppressant. Ive noticed that my cravings have been helped alot, just my taking in more water daily. Plus it helps you feel a little more full.
Also, if you can just stick to you allowed calorie intake for the day...as time goes on, Ive noticed that less food fills me up the way it never used to. I think your stomach shrinks as time goes on as you dont stuff yourself with food.
Good luck!!0
