What lifestyle am I?

Most people would call me active because I exercise every day... but for the purposes of MFP, what would I be?
I enter the activities that I do separately from my day-to-day requirements into my exercise log, and if I'm not exercising I'm sitting in a chair to study, sleep, or eat (aside from the occasional 5-minute walk to classes or the library). So should I make my status sedentary and add in the exercise separately, or should I label myself as active and just consider the exercise a part of daily life (i.e. not enter it into my exercise diary)?

I had a tough time deciding to because sedentary they listed as a desk job and the next option i think active says a nurse .... Im a teacher so Im not on the move as much as a nurse but i definitely move around much more than sitting at a desk all day .... I did however choose sedentary because i figured i rather undershoot and get more everyday exercise than choose the other and not be getting the everyday exercise they expect.

Most people on here would be considered "sedentary" for the purposes of day-to-day living where the abundance of your day is generally sitting, studying, reading, breathing, etc. Generally the more active of lifestyles are ones that involve constant movement as a daily routine. Professional marathon runners, exercise instructors, and athletes are constantly moving as their jobs demand it, and therefore would be considered very active.

To be on the safe side for any other person, it wouldn't hurt to say you're sedentary and then just track exercise.

I see. That makes sense. Guess I'll have to change the status to something like 'lightly active' when I become a fitness instructor in March :-P
