5k Challenge!

hey if anyone wants to join this challenge i would like to do a 5k this thursday- and maybe on a weekly basis. i would love to have people join me! if you are intested please add me as a friend and check out my blog!!

I'd like to do a 5K, but not this Thurs, lol. I'm shooting for Sept/Oct. I could walk a 5k at a good pace but I'm no where near running one.0

i meant a walking 5k!! unless that is just too easy? or is a 5k supposed to be running? i guess id like to train weekly for an eventual running 5k LOL!0

Oh well in that case I'm in! But, I might have to do it indoors if that's ok, modify it a bit. We are supposed to get ice/snow on Tues and if it's still around I might stay in. A 5k is 3.1 miles and I have some Leslie Sansone videos and I could do her 3 mile and then a little extra.
I guess a 5K can def be walking or running, I just assumed you meant running, lol. I'm wanting to run in a 5 K this year. We have a city wide one in September and the Susan G Komen in Oct that I'm aiming for.0 -
i'd love to do a real one and if ur training maybe ull join me because i want to do one weekly and try to improve my times! at home works too but i am gonna do it on the treadmill so i can play with the incline and diversify my workout!

Until I get out of my apt and into a house (hopefully in the next 6 moths) I don't have a treadmill. I actually have one, a wt bench and a heavy bag at my sisters gather dust in her garage...can't wait to get it all back. But...after I start my new job in Feb I'm thinking about joining a gym....maybe. Until then, it's dvd's in the living room.0

I'm doing my 5k on the elliptical this week! ( hoping for a higher calorie burn!0

wow im not that fast yet... did elliptical in 34.390

I ran 6k yesterday (my knee's are paying for it today).0

I did it on the elliptical to avoid knee pain... But my thigh muscles are sore. Really sore0
