HI. I am a SAHM of two young ones. They keep me busy as well as the house cleaning, etc does. I try to get to the gym at least 3 times per week. Most weeks are good, but others are only okay. What is great is that I take Kyuki-Do lessons with my boys two times per week. I do not count those as my gym workouts.

I have found that I used to weigh less when I was working full-time. I am sure it was because of all the standing in front of the classroom and how many times I had to run to copy machine. Also, I used to train for triathlons. However, I have been plagued with a new injury from year to year. I have not competed much recently and I do not know if I will be able to compete this year or not.

I have tried other boards, but I am enjoying the tools on this board so much more. I love how I can easily find the foods I have eaten for the day. I also like that it tell me that if I continue to eat this way, then I will be gaining weight. Thanks for telling me like it is. I hope that I do not let you down.

Hello, I am 49 and trying to lose weight for a trip to Hawaii and class reunion in June. I have the most problem w/adding exercise to my program. I have given up soda and I'm pretty excited about that. I was drinking anywhere from 1-4 a day. If anyone has suggestion to get my exercise in--
I have plenty of time and I have plenty of procrastination going on. I am using hypnosis cd and it seems to be helping a bit. I've just started the one for adding exercise. So maybe this introductory message will be changing soon. Baby steps you know...

Very nice to meet you! Kids definitely keep us moms busy. I am also a SAHM, only I have 5 kids, only 2 are in school all day one is in school part day and then I have my twins (18months) home with me. That is soo nice that you get to go to the gym that often... I'm working on being able to find the time, motivation to get to the gym! I'm also loving this site, and especially at the end of the day once I complete my diary it tells us where we stand in the coming weeks if we keep doing what we did during the day! Good luck on your journey :)

I just got on this site 2 days ago... and Let me tell you I'm getting addicted to logging all my food and exercise, and get excited to see where I am at for the day... also when I complete my diary for the day the message telling you where you will be in 5 weeks is really motivating me! today I have exercised 3-4 times, and I'm thinking about doing it again when I get the kids in bed lol only because I'm really liking the numbers, and trying to do good... I really wanna lose weight! Hope you can find the motivation to keep going. I also just quit drinking soda... Mt. Dew mainly (my weakness) it's been hard but I have some great tasting things to put in my water which keeps me drinking it :)

I find that if I exercise first thing in the morning, I can consistently do it. Then it is over and done with! As well, the night before I prepare all my gym clothes. When I wake up I don't stay in bed thinking about having to get up - I just get up, have my shower, put on my gym clothes, and I am off. I used to hate exercising but have been doing it consistently for the last three weeks, 4-5 times a week. I am slowly losing weight - but I know my clothes fit better. I too have a goal of losing weight at my son gets married in March and I want to look my best.

    Hope this helps.

On days in which I have to incorporate exercise into my everyday life, I try simple things like doing lunges down the hallway, standing on one foot while brushing my teeth, sitting on the floor and exercising while watching TV, etc. Good Luck.

I am lucky that my gym has a supervised playroom for my youngest. Have you looked into that option?
