What trouble are you having with your weight loss

The first 4 months I did very well, only binged twice. The fifth month, which is now, I've already binged 3 times. I went over 5500 calories twice and 2500 calories the 3rd time. I weigh in on the first of every month. I've peeked at the scale and it won't be a terrible number this month, but I need to be able to control my bingeing. It's ridiculous that I can go from 1500 calories to 7000 calories with ease. My fear is not that I won't lose the weight that I want to lose, my fear is that once I get there I'll gain it all back. My habits are embedded in me so long that i don't know if I can sustain the change.

It's funny you should post this....
I am a little bit stuck. I rarely go over on calories. Some days I only eat 1200, especially if I don't get any exercise in. I did toy around with my exercise, but I went back to what I was doing when I lost the first twenty lbs. I've been stuck at this weight since four days before Christmas when I got really sick.
I can't decide if I need to eat more or what. If I'm not losing eating 1200 I can't really go lower.
I did notice that I am usually really under on my fat grams and I've started wonder if I'm not getting enough fat? I never would have thought that would be possible! If I add any fat, it will be monounsaturated for sure. More olive oil, please!
I'm toying with the idea of trying the South Beach plan because it advocates the good fats, proteins and carbs. Jury is still out on that idea.0 -

I was on Alli about a year ago and the plan that came with it stressed that eating too little fat was counterproductive and might stall your weight loss efforts. I have also heard, though I have not done alot of research and do not know if it is true or not, that your body does not store fats that you eat as fat on your body. I will look into that one!0 -
I've binged twice this week.
I panic about the future too. I worry about if I can do this at all. Food has been my medication for decades. It's a hard habit to break and I have to be patient with myself and take it one day at a time.
Don't get ahead of yourself. Your fear is understandable but it doesn't have to be your truth. When you reach your goal, you'll find the tools you need to keep the weight off. You just might not see what they are right now.
Is your bingeing helping to medicate the fear you have of succeeding?
I know that's what mine are all about. (always see this in hindsight, of course ... lol)
Be well!
and CONGRATULATIONS on your magnificent weight loss!0 -
The problem I am having right now is that I eat about every three hours, usually I eat protein of some kind, chicken, turkey, cheese, eggs, cottage cheese, yogurt, and I combine it with either fruit or veggies and sometimes whole grain bread or crackers. But despite eating ALL DAY, I am constantly starving! My stomach always feels empty and growley even after I eat. I just never feel satisfied. I can eat anymore or I will go over my calories and fat goals (1450 and 48g) Grrrrrr. Wish I knew how to feel less hungry.0

Moondove73 - Sounds to be like you might need more fiber to feel fuller longer. What is your daily fiber intake?0
