Hi everyone! i have entered into a 5k race this coming summer and was wondering what is the best way to train for the event.
i am using the treadmill and can run 3 k in 23 minutes which i have worked on since the beginning of my weight loss journey back in july 2010. I walk fora couple of minutes after completing 1K to and then run until the next k. Was thinking of running 3.5k next month and slowly increase it that way. I also do bike work and strength work 3 times a week as well.
When it is lighter in the evenings I will be starting to run outside in prep for the run.
Any advice would be much appreciated!

Try the couch to 5k program...you might want to start it half way through as the first few weeks will probably be too easy for you.0
