NSV! Someone Noticed!

I have been stuck in a plateau for almost 2 1/2 weeks now but I'm still motivated to keep moving forward. Last night was my splurge night so I went to my favorite place to eat, "Baja Fresh Mexcian Grill", the ladies that normaly work there had told me that they almost didn't regonize me that it looked like I had lost weight especially in my face! It was about 3 weeks since I had been in last. I have only lost 31 pounds but that was sure nice to hear since being stuck at the same weight and all. It gave me me the inspiration I needed to keep on going and to try and get out of this stinking plateau! why is it that when you are at a standstill is when poeple start to notice your weight loss? It's funny how it always works like that, or when you have gotten so discouraged that you have just given up, people start to tell you how much better you are looking?! I honestly think that a plateau could mean that the weight you have lost is catching up with you and your body is adjusting to it! Just my thoughts! Well, this girl isn't quitting but going to try harder to see results. I swear, the scale is so evil and your body plays tricks on you, it's so unfair especially when your doing everything right! It's a great feeling when people take notice so keep on moving forward and NEVER give up! Have a great day everyone and thanks for reading this!

Yay for those NSV's. Plateaus stink but you have a great attitude about it and you might be surprised the next time the scale does move =]. Congrats. It's a great feeling when people notice :flowerforyou:0

I wouldn't base your success on what the scale tells you. I've been at weights a lot lower than what I am right now, and was chunkier in certain areas then. I've been 160 and toned, 160 and flubbery, etc... it depends on how you get to that weight. Since I'm working my weight down to 160 (instead of up from a lower number), I will be able to wear the weight differently. Does that makes sense? I sure hope so! Because it did in my head. Haha!
Just because you are at a plateau does not mean that your work isn't paying off. You are probably building muscle mass, and replacing fat and so on.
Either way, congrats, and you should be SUPER proud of yourself and the work you've put into becoming the improved you!0 -
Girl, you can do it! You're right sometimes that scale can be your worst enemy because it starts playing mean tricks on you. But just remember if you are working out not only are you losing weight but you are gaining muscle which could be a big part of why that scale isn't moving. You CAN do this. I know at a heavier weight people don't notice as much as I would like lol. It's hard to see that small weight loss when I have so much to lose. BUT I just keep moving forward and tell myself that even though I or others may not see it now that they will because I AM going to do this. Just keep up the great work! Every little ounce counts (which isn't showing on the scale lol) I'm glad you are sticking it out. WOOHOOOOOOO You go girl!0

Good job hanging in there! 31 pounds is frickin' great! KEEP IT UP! and you're right; the scale is the devil. You are most likely getting some muscle mass as the fat is coming off- and people are noticing!0
