Hi Everyone!
Well after last years attempt at yo-yo dieting, trying a bit of this, and a bit of that, I have decided enough is enough. I tried bodytrim, lite n easy and just would get sidetracked too easy!
I am going to loose some weight, feel comfortable in myself and look better for my holiday!
I am currently 92.4kgs (203.7lbs) and I want to loose 10kg (22lbs) before my holiday mid May.
I then want to loose an additional 15kgs when I get back by the end of the year.. I need to loose a total of 25kgs (55lbs) to get to my goal weight.
I have decided that I will just watch what i eat, and use MFP..
I am going to excecise a minimum of 3 times a week (I have Konga classes on Monday and Thurs Nights and Zumba on Wed) and if I am unable to attend them due to other commitments I will go out walking, or use my wii fit fitness coach....
Well here we go!!

Hi us05 or Sarah
You seem to havethe same sort of goals as myself I was 197.4 almost two weeks ago and I intend to loose 22 lbs to get down to my ideal weight of 12st 7lbs.
I am logging all my calorie intake on mfp but although I am trying to eat healthily I am struggling to maintain a sensible portion size and have not got a handle on why I cant eat as much fruit as I like each day. Also I refuse to give up on my glass or more of wine each day and my occasional treats (chocolate, shortbread buscuit, yorkshire pudding etc). What I do do though is excercise everyday even if it is only a 10 min walk or 20 minutes on a stepper, and if I do have a treat like a chinese meal or bread & butter pudding then I go out and do 30 minutes power walking.
I wondered if you want to share notes and compare our progress as I do find if there is a healthy bit of competition and sharing of thoughts then you are more likely to persevere with your weight loss plan?
Good Luck

Hi Colin
mmmm yorkshire pudd.....
Im happy to share notes... and I like a bit of healthy competition!
I am really going to struggle this week... I have my sisters birthday dinner on Wed night, have a nutrimetics party on thurs night (they are supplying bubbles and nibbles) and a celebration dinner on Friday.... I think I just have to remember portion control - and thursday night I will have dinner before I go so I am full and just have juice!
I really want this to work! I have 100 days to loose 10 kilos!!!

Hi Sarah
Good Luck with those potential "pigging out" days? Do you drink your 8 glasses of water per day (it does seem a lot doesn't it?) but wondered if you had say 4 of those glasses before you go for your big meals would that make you feel full? also you need to estimate the calories you will eat and then offset them with exercise that day ( I find power walking at 4 mph and ballroom dancing work best for gettinmg off the calories, or even an intensive stepper session for 20 minutes if you can keep it up, may help).
Well done for your first weight loss, Iam really chuffed as I have now lost 5.8 lbs in my first two weeks on mfp, although I am taking a 1 months free supply of Super Acai and Pure Hoodia which certainly seem sto help me not crave food so much.
Good Luck Colin0 -
Hi Sarah,
Good luck with your first weight loss goal and I hope you have a great holiday in May. Where are you off to?0 -
Hi Sarah,
It sounds like you have it all figured out in your head which is great start ay? I am in that place for the first time in a LONG time.
Good Luck and hope you have a great holiday!

Thanks Colin and Crazeness....
I am off to SIngapore! I cant wait.
Colin I am drinking between 1.5-2L of water a day... It is hard, and the only way I usually get there is by drinking out of a 750ml pump water bottle, a glass or a 600ml bottle on my desk doesnt seem to work...
I might give that water before the meal trick a try...
Well done on your weight loss too Colin! That is fantastic! I was thiking of giving the Super Acai a try, but yeah, I just want to do this in my own way and time, and remove myself from the idea of 'dieting' and just think of it as a lifestyle change or better eating.0 -
Hi Sarah
I do agree with you about the Acai, mine was a free gift so I thought I would use up the 1 months supply, at the moment it gives me a dull ache feeling in my stomach, but it does seem to have stopped me craving lots of food. I am feeling a whole lot better about myself after two weeks having lost 5.8 lbs, but I sense things will start to level out now as for me it has always been a struggle to get down below 192 lbs and stay down! Good Luck with your program and let me know how those big temptation days went?0 -
Hi guys I've enjoyed reading your articles and thought I'd say g'day - I'm new here and this is my first post :-)
I am loving the ease of this site - was literally introduced 2 days ago and have been a 'food diary nut' ever since. For the first time in ages I am not just eating ANYTHING I want..... I'm so thankful this has given me the motivation I needed to stop before I eat.
I have a wonderful hubby and two beautiful daughters and I want to feel great and be a good role model - well, the best I can be. I'm surrounded by inspiring women and I want to be one too!
At present I would love to lose 10 kgs and I know I can do it now that I have this tool. We ALL can and what better way than support each other through it here. I wish I had've known this site existed ages ago! I might've stopped sabotaging myself before now! I've been a bit of a gym junkie leading up to xmas (well, all last year actually) but without fixing the food and wine indulgences I wasn't seeing the results I wanted. Hopefully that will now change.
anyway - just wanted to say hi. I'd also love to hear how you went with those social occasions Sarah - I have some over the w/end myself and wonder if I'll manage not overeating.
