I made this breakfast the other day and I was totally impressed....I had tons of food and really low calories! I actually thought before i logged it in to my food diary that I was in trouble....not going to be able to eat for the rest of the day LOL!

So I thought I should share it, and if you can share your low calorie breakfast ideas with me. 'Cause I'm ALWAYS looking for new ideas.

EGG WHITE OMLETTE
1/2 teaspoon of Olive Oil 20 cal
1/4 cup zucchini 5 cal
1/4 cup peppers (red and green) 7 cal
1/4 cup sliced mushrooms 4 cal
1/8 cup onions 8 cal
2 eggwhites 34 cal
_______________________________
78 cal

I thought that it was filling and some one could adjust it according to thier own life style. I am on a 1400 calorie/day intake so I try to use these amounts as a guide Break- 200, Morning snack-150, Lunch-300, Afternoon snack-150, Dinner 400/500 and evening snack-150.
I figure people can tweak it to thier own tastes but it still isn't going to be that high in calories. Add more veggies, another egg white or even a little low fat cheese and I sure you'll be happy with it!

So now post your low calorie meal ideas, doesn't have to be breakfast, cause I love trying new things!:)

Happy Sharing!

For another breakfast idea, I've started making steel cut oats in the crock pot the night before (1 cup of steel cut oats, 4 1/2 c. of water, a dash of salt, set crock pot on low). I make enough for the whole week, and then just put them in 1 cup containers in the fridge and heat them up in the morning. It's quick, tasty, healthy, and it keeps me full for a long time. I usually add berries or raisins or nuts to spice things up a little bit.
  • Loved it thanks!
