I'm young. I am only 20, but I gained a lot of weight from being at college and what not. When in high school I played water polo, danced, and have been swimming since I was five. Long story short... I have A LOT of muscle and I don't feel feminine anymore. I have the muscle in my arms and my thighs. I truly do not have too much fat in these areas. Is there anything I can do to decrease the amount of muscle I have? I used to lift weights, but stick to low amounts to try and tone my muscle for a slimmer look, but I'm still a little more bulky than I'd like.

Any tips or ideas from anyone? Thanks in advance.

A great way to "lean out" your muscles is through yoga and pilates. They help to lengthen, as does practicing ballet. Chances of losing your bulk are slimmer, but it's not impossible!!

    :flowerforyou: Good luck!

Yoga and pilates are good. Also, stick to low weights in the weight room, and do long slow reps, and a LOT of them.

    For instance, bicep curls...
muscle building would use 45lb dumbells, 3 sets of 8 reps
toning would use 10~15 pound dumbells, 3-5 sets of 25 reps

Also, running/jogging/cycling... anything which causes muscles to be strained for prolonged periods of time.

Thank you for your answers... I hope that helps. I feel so bulky and unfeminine sometimes.
