Walnut - I'm with you - I HATE digging through TJMax, Mashalls, Winners, etc... I am personally happy to pay a little extra and save the agony (but I know some of you gals enjoy the hunt!). Can you get to Canada for a little shopping? Toronto?
American picks...
J Crew - great basics
Gap - great dress pants, carigans, layering pieces, skirts
Banana Republic - sales can be GREAT
Limited - my fav for our age group, and excellent accessories
Victoria Secret - great pencil skirts and good selection of tops
Nine West - affordable shoes that are actually comfy
Canadian picks...
Jacob Boutique - to me, they have everything you could need!!!
Tristan - love it all, great quality and classic pieces
Mexx - good basics
Town Shoes - great selection of fashionable stuff
Side note... I don't know what size you are in, but I have just cleaned out my closet, and have many items in sizes 12 and 10 - gorgeous fitting Jacob boutique dress pants and more (and size large and medium for tops) that I am looking to rid myself of... dress pants, tops, sweaters, tanks, etc...!
If you are interested (or anyone else out there), I would mail them to you if you cover the shipping costs. Mail me for more details if interested.0 -

Wow, thank you for the offer! I'm a size six now (I'm pretty short), otherwise I'd definitely take you up on that.0 -
Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I'll be looking for clothes to wear starting in September, so I think I'll wait for the end of summer sales - perfect timing :glasses: I'm making a list of all your suggestions to pull out at that time. :happy:0

well I love to search for bargains....do you have a tjmaxx or marshalls, I got some really really nice skirts all under 25 bucks each...and well made, good brands....Jones of NY etc..they also have some really pretty professional tops and jackets if you need those....my office is casual professional, no jeans, or sneakers or flip flops....our floor has the president of the company on it so we all have to dress it up a bit more...
Macy's has some cute stuff too...what kind of outfits/cloths were you looking for...I make a great personal shopper LOL
oh and believe it or not Target also has some cute summer professional stuff too....depends on what you like...I'm pretty trendy though LOL...
hugs!

I hit Marshalls all the time!!!0 -
I agree with TJ Maxx & Marshalls.
I was @ Marshall's the other day & TJ Maxx last week... lots and lots of clearance racks and cute clothes!
I wanna go shopping again!0 -
Target has nice and cheap clothes, but they won't last long/hold their shape for very long. NY & Co usually has nice stuff....sometimes they are a little ridiculous with their low cut stuff, like where do people work that can where something THAT low cut? Express is pricier but they do tend to have a decent size large and XL and their quality is amazing. I've had this one pair of pants from there for about 7 or 8 years, I wear them all the time for work and I tend to wear out the inside thighs of pants quickly (darn thighs) but these pants are still going strong.
Also H & M has some cute stuff if you have any by you and they do have some bigger sizes. Though beware when trying stuff on there, their clothes to tend to cling a little but once you've worn them once they do stretch out some....when you wash them they go back to how they were when you bought them and will strech again.0 -
Macy's has great clothes. They are expensive - but don't buy unless there is a sale or coupons! They usually have great sales!
Plus, Ann Taylor Loft. it's my favorite. Also - is there a B. Moss near you? when I like my size, that's the first place I go! Really curte suits and dresses, and tehre is ALWAYS a sale! Just not sure if they are everywhere or not....0
