  • Good luck! Please don't starve yourself though, and keep yourself hydrated when working out. If you work out, your muscles need water. And if you starve yourself you will put your body into starvation mode and it will store calories instead of burn them. Congrats on your man coming home! HOW EXCITING!

I've been stuck on the same weight for about 2 weeks now.:frown: So today I changed my diet a little to some soup and raw fruit and celery. Perhaps my body is use to me eating the same stuff everyday and it needs a change. I want to get under that 30 mark , it's driving me nuts:tongue: by the way, good to hear your guy is coming home:drinker:

change your routine up some, your body is getting too comfortable with what you are doing and likes to maintain itself. Also look at your carb/protein break down. I'm sure you'll loose a few after he gets home too. :smooched:

Enjoy the reunion and you will be (are) the best sight he will have seen in a while!!

Yeah I am losing inches but it seems like thats all I do is lose inches since i started losing weight the end of 2006- I can now shop in the skinny b**tch stores thats what I call them lol-- but I know I have weight to lose I still see the fat- Im not even trying to get to my ideal weight because thats not releastic and i wouldn't look right at that weight- I am a thick girl (thick in the right way lol:smile: ) but would like to shed this weight- I know my body can't be getting used to my workouts because I change them up constantly and i am still getting sore and per Jackie Warner if your sore your muscles are working but i have always had a problem with gaining muscle so fast its some peoples blessing and my curse for being so athletic for so long-- Mind you my plateau has been for months not weeks- I tried South beach it didn't do nothing for me but gave me headaches- Then I joined MFP and still nothing- My doctor is even stumped he doesn't understand because I am doing everything the right way my friends tease me saying you go ahead and count those calories lol-- I know that the last 5-15 lbs are the hardest but goodness do I have to suck these bad boys out they don't want to come off for nothing-- Oh well I will keep at it Im going to go and squeeze in my evening workout Im already sore but at least I will sleep like a baby tonight thats the plus Billy Blanks here I come lol--

As for losing weight when my guy comes home lol   thats funny- even though I will be burning off extra calories with our extra curricular activities I always seem to pack on a few pounds when he comes home thats why i need to lose my 15 and probably some more lol to compensate for what I will gain lol-- Thanks everyone even though Im not losing i do enjoy MFP--

Hey I was wondering if you were measuring all your foods, I would only eating at home for the next 4 weeks. I find that if I do not eat any food out I lose faster. And make sure you measure everything you consume. And exercise. Don't let if stress you out thats a major thing if you do you are not going to lose. Hope this helps!:flowerforyou:

I don't eat out unless its subway- I measure everything as well- and I always workout but because I am down to 4 weeks I guess I will workout twice a day-- I really need to shed this weight I can't say that i wont stress about it cause that would be a lie its really affecting me that I can't lose weight I have been busting my butt and have been at a stand still since Feb besides 2lbs thats all I have lost and nothing else

Have you manipulated your nutrient ratios? Changed your caloric intake? What do your workouts currently consist of? It's hard to offer any advice, because I'm not sure what your day looks like.

Yeah I have did the whole 1200-1490 calories a day that didn't do anything then i tried eatin my exercise calories which didn't make much sense to me- then I thought maybe I need to eat more calories tried that and nothing happened-- I don't drink anything but water (as a matter of fact my dr said i was drinking too much water and that I needed to add gatorade to my diet but I told him no because thats calories that I cant eat) I eat protein bars and drink protein shakes I eat salads and chicken-- if I have anything else I measure it out correctly

as for my workouts I walk, use the elliptical, go for bike rides with my kids, taebo amped all 5 discs, pilates, yoga, strength training with the weights- I mix things up alot- like today I did the elliptical then tonight just did taebo amped-- I have burned a crap load of calories and i am doing great with my calorie intake today- I still have more water to drink though I go through about a gallon in a day-- I dont know maybe I will get me some diet pills or something- cause something has to give I have never heard of anyone not losing no matter what they do- it makes no sense and its not like I just started and i am not losing I have been at a stand still since Feb thats just insane I even went as far as to get blood work done to see whats going on and thats was fine-- im stumped my dr's stumped and my friends and husband are always consoling me and telling me I am fine and the weight will come off sooner or later- but how much later will it come off I am busting my butt here..

Hmm...I was actually looking for a few more specifics:

I'm wondering what percentage of each nutrient you're currently eating (like 50% carbs, or 35% protein, for instance). I'm also wondering if you've changed or monitored those. I saw that you did SB, where you monitoring them then?

I'm also wondering how many calories you burn each day and how many you eat. Also, how long did you cycle calories, how long did you do SB, and how long did you try increasing calories?

Also, how often do you strength train, and with what rep range? Do you follow a program? How many hours of cardio are you doing per day/week?

Lastly, are you measuring in any other way? Inches, pant sizes, body fat?

I don't mean to pester you, but with general statements it's really difficult to get a feel of what *exactly* you're doing, because you need to make very specific changes once you reach a plateau, and most importantly, you have to stick with those changes for several weeks.
