OK, So I just got done with my Running improvement program and after warm ups, running and stretching my HRM says I burned 804 kcal? I looked it up and the website i found says kcal and calorie are the same, my instructor says that that was way to much for what we did. I was in the 80-95% of my max heart rate the whole time. What do you all think? Is my HRM right or is my instructor right?

Well kcal are the same as calories so that is true. How long was this workout? I tend to burn around 800 calories/hr on an elliptical. Hope that helps!0

That's an interesting question. My HRM always says I burned 10 to 15 more calories than the machines at the gym say, so I always go with that number. I think it's very accurate. I would look at some reviews online of your HRM and see what other people are saying about it.0
