Ok, I hope this doesn't sound stupid but this week blueberries are on sale at my grocery store for a super cheap price. About half what I usually pay, its one of our staples in my house. Anyways so I wanted to buy some extra and freeze them but to be honest I have never froze fruit before, so how do I do it?

  • just pop them in the freezer! i usually use ziplock bags to just help against freezer burn... they are yummy frozen too! i like to use them as ice cubes in water when they are frozen

Put them on a half sheet and place them in the freezer for about a half an hour. Then put them into freezer bags. Laying them out to freeze vs. putting them in a bag keeps them from clumping.

Works great for most berries, grapes, and bananas.

just pop them in the freezer. Do not wash them or they will get mushy.

I just put them straight in the freezer in their little containers. Works brilliantly and I use them in my smoothies and hot cereal for breakfast.

I freeze blueberries ALL the time. I just wash them off good. Let them dry out, and put them in a freezer baggy and grab out what I need. I've never experienced freezer burn with them, and I've tried the cookie sheet idea once, but as long as they dry, that step wasn't necessary for me.

    Good Luck....go buy a bunch!

I just put them straight into the freezer and give them a quick rinse in cold water just before eating. I LOVE frozen blueberries!! I do this with grapes too! Frozen grapes and blueberries are very refreshing in the summer time!
