Biggest Loser at Work

Just an idea for some of you looking for motivation ...
I started a "Biggest Loser" Challenge at work. Everyone who wanted to participate put $10 in the pot. We ended up having 12 people, so we nominated three captains, and then the captains drew names out of a hat to get their team of four. Each team then picked a name. We are doing it for 8 weeks, and we have weekly weigh-ins on Monday at 8:45am. The team at the end of 8 weeks that loses the biggest percentage of their body weight gets taken out to lunch by the other two teams. The person who loses the biggest percentage of his/her body weight (of ALL the teams) wins the pot of money.
A few more details ...
The captains are responsible for helping to motivate the team, organize team activities, tracking everyone's weight and percentage loss, etc. For example, I am the captain of the "Slender Lemons." Every day I email "A Wedge of Knowledge" to my team, with fitness tips, healthy recipes, or lifestyle suggestions. Then every couple of days I surprise my team with a "5-Minute Fat Blaster." We meet at my desk and I give our assignment, whether it be walking up and down the stairs for 5 minutes or holding the wall-sit for 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off 5 times. Also, every week the captain emails the total percentage lost for their team to the entire Biggest Loser group, plus the person in their group who is the "biggest loser" for the week.
We have staff meetings every month, and each department switches off bringing in desserts. Usually we have an array of cakes, cookies, ice cream, etc to munch on (and so many leftovers it lasts two extra days). Well now, everyone who is a part of the Biggest Loser is bringing in healthy desserts like sugar-free jello or angel food cake with berries.
It's awesome! Try it!
