I'm in it too. It started snowing a couple of hours ago, but we had freezing rain all night long. We're gonna get anywhere from 12-24 inches. My kids are loving it!
Thankfully the schools and our offices have been smart, everyone at my house is home safe and sound. I hope everyone on MFP stays cozy and safe.
Take care0 -
St. Louis here, nothing but sleet and ice here. Everything is getting shut down because of it, including work, yay!0
-
Yep, suppose to hit here tonight, hopefully after I get home and before I leave for work tomorrow! Western New York.........I hate snow, but won't mind a day off:bigsmile:0
-
We are getting hit as we speak. We are in the blizzard warning and it sure kept its promise! I can barely see the house across the street from me! We are in Northeast Missouri.0
-
I am...... already got 10 inches, and 12 inches more on the way0
-
I'm in Chicago, and I think we're slated to be the worst hit...but at least there'll be lots of calories burned playing with the kids in the snow! And shoveling it too... >:-/0

Yep. I'm in Dallas. I work at an outpatient clinic that NEVER closes. Boss called this morning and told us to stay put. Of course this happened AFTER I had showered, gotten ready, and attempted to pull out of my apartment parking lot. Slid back into another car. Oops! No damage to either car though so everything is kosher.0

I am and it's beginning to seem ridiculous! People are freaking out over here! (SE Michigan) I think we will all survive, LOL.0

I'm in Texas and the DFW airport was closed for a few hours this morning. First time since 9/11. The roads are really icey and not gonna to get any better. For us, this is scary. What is funny though, it is media day for the Super Bowl, and I'm sure the Steelers and Packers players and fans are wondering....why are we freaking, what's the big deal. They showed on the news the buses bringing the players in for the media being lead by a big ol ice scraper truck!
Good Luck to everyone. Stay safe, and stay warm. :drinker: He is actually drinking hot chocolate!
LOL I thought it was beer  People here are actually freaking out which normally everyone doesn't think too much about it. All the grocery stores look like its armageddon and EVERYONE is stocking up to last for months. some of its kind of funny
But it is SOOOOooo much worse down south for sure. You don't have the equipment and all that to deal with it so it can def be scary there. Be careful!0 -

That's where i'm at too! Ya everyone is flipping out. It's Michigan people. It's happened before and we made it through!0 -
I look forward to the shoveling workout...hope its not too cold to play in. If we do get a foot, I doubt I'll be going into work. I live in Lansing and the House/Senate has already cancelled work, so why not me?!
It will be beautiful!0 -
If I say no, is it bragging?
yes. -___-0 -

So many from Wisconsin on here - have to say GO PACK GO!!!!
I'm just south of Green Bay and it's tracking south of us - but the drifting is still going to make travel in the boondocks interesting.
Everyone slow down and be careful please! There was a pickup/snow plow in the ditch across from my house this morning! A SNOW PLOW!!!!0 -
STL MO. We are in the path of "Snowmageddon"0

They gave us the green light to work from home tommorow which though I'm new at this place, from what I hear that NEVER happens.0 -
SW Mich (GR area). 10-16" predicted on most stations around here, some a little higher. Supposed to start about 5 and pick up steam overnight. Glad I work from home (except that I dont get snow days)! I have a plow on my truck so I get to be a rather popular guy around here at times like this....0

I'm in Oklahoma. Last night they reported that the temperatures were the lowest OK had seen in 15 years. Despite all the weather warnings, my administrator didn't announce our school closing until late last night, after I'd already left the hospital where my new nephew was born, and now I can't get back there to see my sister and adorable new nephew! I normally love weather like this, but this time I'm saying-- !!0
-
I'm in Illinois south of St Louis. Sleet here since around 10. Coming down pretty good right now. Supposed to turn over to snow this afternoon. I'm home safe and warm since we have a snow day. Tomorrow?0
