EXERCISE CALORIE QUESTION

Let me just say that it doesnt effect the way I eat. I only eat back 140 of my exercise calories anyway but I am really curious as to why you are allowed to eat back your cardiovascular exercises but not your strength training?
It's not like lifting weights doesn't burn calories!?!?!
and I know its damn near immposible to know how many calories you have burned strength training but im sure there is an average "guess" just like you dont really know how many calories you burn doing cardio. everything is just a "guess"
anyone have an idea of what im saying here?

I track my strength calories with my HRM and add them to my cardio section. I don't eat all my calories anyway but it's nice to see the number. I do get what you are saying though.0

Why do you only eat back 140?0

Not sure if this is what you are saying or not, but you record your strength training in the boxes provided under Exercise. Then go to cardiovascular exercise and choose Strength Training from the options given. It will ask you to enter the number of minutes you did strength training and will then give you an estimated calorie burn for that time period. Hope this helps.0

my 140 is in the form of my post protein shake and I only eat that because I have been very much into working out for the past 4 years and I know what works for my body.. everyone is different0

also I just had twins so when I get back to 110lbs I will work on consuming more calories ad protein to gain back my 10lbs of muscle ;-)0

I'm just reading the many posts about eating back calories and not eating them and so on and everyone is doing different things and it's not making sense to me.
As you say, you know your body and I'm glad it works for you.0 -
I also track my calories with my HRM and add them to my cardio. I find if I do some cardio blast with my strength training I will burn more calories then just doing strength by itself. If I strength train for 45 minutes and do a few 3 min cardio blast on the ARC in between I can burn anywhere between 400 to 500 calories, without the cardio blast I burn about 300 calories. I never eat as many calories as it says I can eat.0

I didn't mean I was confused by how it works - sorry, didn't make myself too clear.
I get it completely and it's working for me but there are millions of posts about not eating the cals and so on it's driving me mad!
