If I am still staying under all my fats, calories, sugars, carbs etc. while eating a fast food meal like once a week, is it really that bad? Today If I eat a whopper jr w/ cheese, a value fry ( kid size) and a kid size diet coke, it totals 610 calories, and I can still eat the dinner I had planned while staying under my nutrional values for fat, sugar, and sodium and carbs for the day... I am craving some BK like no other and this is the meal I get when I am craving fast food... is it really that bad?

No you should allow yourself a cheat day every week. Just don't over do it and have a burger fries and soda for every meal of that day.

Ok... realistically, it's not as good for you as something that's not fast food. You know that, or you wouldn't be asking. That being said, if you're having cravings, and you can stay within your calorie goals, it's not the end of the world if you indulge that craving. I did something similar today myself, and I'm not worried about it. Sometimes it's better to indulge a craving in a mindful way instead of trying to put yourself off and causing a situation where you end up binging.

You're young so your metabolism can handle it. You've lost a lot of weight so just keep doing what you're doing. Watch the sodium from the fast food though.

There is no such thing as good or bad foods. Anything done in moderation is ok as far as I am concerned. Always keep in mind you are developing a lifestyle, not a "diet". If you put fewer calories in than you burn, you will lose weight. The body does not differentiate. The difference will always be that certain foods will keep the full feeling longer. I don't believe most people eat due to hunger though. People eat out of boredom, and flavor.
You can eat BK every day if you keep your calories under your goal.

You *can,* but that doesn't mean you *should.* Yes, you could theoretically lose weight that way. But it would not be a healthy weight loss. Once in a while is fine, but I wouldn't think it's a good idea to eat that way every day.

It all depends on whether you are looking for diet or nutrition. Calories are calories, so if you are staying on track - then 'nuff said. If you need to watch your fat or sodium however (like I do - heart issues) then it's a poor choice. It depends on your goals.

That being said, have a McDouble for me, eh? :D

Thanks everyone , I guess I am only counting calories so I'm good. I know if I get excess sodium I gain water weight , but thats it.
