I'm just venting so bear with me. One of my student's mothers made me scones today as a thank you for driving her back and forth to school today(I'm the busdriver/mommy.). That was sooo nice of her and I broke down and ate 2 and then inputted my whole day and the calories for the day which blew me out of the water and I haven't even eaten supper. I feel like I have been doing this forever,(since last aug) and for the last three months I've been plateaued do to limited exercise mandated by my pt therapist. I am just sooo down and blue, I want to lose the last 10-20 lbs. I don't feel like I am ever going to get there. I know I should be happy with what I've lost so far but it's getting harder to do when I am not seeing any different results. I'm losing my motivation and don't know what to do. I have been eating really healthy foods but when you only have 1290 to play with a day it's not much. Thanks for listening everyone. Now I'm going to eat supper and try to forget how much I'm eating:sad:

OH! Dont give up, and try not to feel such insane guilt. When you stress so much, it really is not helping you. Just think, ok i messed up, tomorrow is another day. And then tomorrow do tons better. Also if you have the time, i love google-ing "low calorie meals or snacks". There are sooooo many out there! I sometimes feel as if i cant get full off of my 1200 calories, but thats when i am being lazy and not thinking outside the box. Dont give up girl! Just think outside the box!!!!

    Hi kjllose,
I know exactly what you mean and it is usually the time when i sabatoge myself and go back to my old habits and then have to start from the beginning again......I don't know if there is an easy answer because we all metabolize food differently and have plateaus that could last a week or months....it is so individual...but if I could say anything to you it would be not to give up...you have come so far and if you look at the big picture of over all health and quality of life rather than the shorter goal of weekly weight loss it is 100% worth it....your going to have "not great eating days" but you have to snap back from those rather than let that ruin the week/month for you.....and if you can start incorporating excersise again that will off set some of those extra calories......but don't let this discourage you...think long term and keep doing what your doing cause it got you to less 45 lbs and that is nothing to sneeze at :)....so wake up in the morning and reallize it is a new day and you control it.......

We just have to brush it off and remind ourselves that we'll do better tomorrow.

Just get your momentum back and you'll be back on track soon! Best of luck!

I make the absolutely best scones in the world...No. Really. And having this information can be like knowing how to build a nuclear weapon. So, just think. I have all the ingredients in my pantry and fridge too. How easy it would be to . .. . OH but I digress. You ate them. So what. Give the rest away to someone else you appreciate, have a moderate but healthy dinner, and move on. Count today as a "free" day. Still enter your food, but know that you were giving yourself a 'grace' day.

We are human beings, and by nature we err. Keep going.

Thank you everyone, I'm over my whine now, I ate a perfectly portioned supper and am feeling better, maybe I was just hungry and tired.:ohwell: And yes your right it took much longer to put on than a year. Tomorrow is another day, so goodnight for now, and thanks again.

I don't know if this helps, but I am going through the same thing right now. I know when I was losing like I should and sometimes more, I would see other members saying they were at a plateau and eventually it would happen to everyone. I know it is so frustrating right now and you have done so well, you should be very proud of yourself. :flowerforyou: I have way lots more to lose then you do and I can't give up either because I know i would go back to the old habits. I am at 1200 calories a day and if I don't exercise I know what you mean about it being not enough. I bet the scones were good:happy: you deserved the treat today after working so hard, so at least have a something for supper even if it's just a salad or some soup. It's hard to go to bed on an empty stomach. Hang in there you haven't gained any weight on so your still doing good and building muscles . :flowerforyou:  :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

I too think you should look at the positive side (= the 45 lbs you actually did loose so far). You can be proud of that!
The other ten or twenty..... they may be harder than the first 5. rom what I see here the last 10-20 pounds are sometimes very difficult to drop.

This is just the fine tuning now kjllose. Yes, you would like to loose the rest, I understand that. And you will. Take your time and don't give up. From my point of view you are where you should be weight wise, almost. You can improve that a little. But not as much as you already did.

Thank you guys, you really made me take a step back and look on what I've done, what I want to do and I just needed an e-hug. I left a bag of scones on the counter for my middle-daughter to pick up on her way home and when I got up this morning she had left 6 banana muffins:grumble: :grumble: She is trying to lose a little too so she was getting even. Fortunately, my oldest daughter is coming up tomorrow and she can save me from myself. I know my hubby will eat them too.
