Hokay, so my husband who just yesterday I said was amazing and helping me on my diet...Just came home from a TDY and brought home one of these...I only ate part of it, but I touched the thing...That is the worst part! I have been so good!

Brownie_Obsession.jpg

::sigh::

He promised we'd burn the calories...:tongue: ...but I have no clue how to log it in to my food chart.

It's a "TGI Friday's Brownie Obsession." I can't find the calories anywhere...And apparently this place does not like to offer nutrition information. Anyone have ideas?

    oh gawd...that looks good i dont think anyone would blame you. I would deconstruct it. The brownie, the icecream, the nuts, and the sauce. Add it all together round up and then divide it by what you ate...is that cookies in there too?? wow :bigsmile:

    Could you try to log in seperate items ie. brownie,chocolate sauce, ice cream etc.. My husband is the same. He is a terrific support, but sometimes he'll bring me treats. I know he is truly doing something nice but it definately doesn't always help with the chocolate cravings. Of course he is a tennis pro so he never has to worry about calories.

    Have fun burning those calories:love::love:

    I would like the public to know about a potential dessert disaster. TGI Fridays has a dessert called the Brownie Obsession. The customer service refuses to disclose the amount of calories in this dessert. I recently learned that the Brownie has 1190 calories that doesn’t include the 1 1/2 cups of Haggen Das Ice cream approx. 450 calories, nor does it include the chocolate and carmel covering the top along with the nuts. In total this dessert is above 2000 Calories and should be disclosed to customers not kept a secret.

    Can't be good when a restaurant refuses to talk about the nutritional information in their food!

    Just looking at that thing sends my blood sugar sky high :sick:

    Man that looks yummy.
    My hubbz brings home "treats" once in a while.
    Somtimes it's a huge chocolate macadamia nuts white chocolate chunks cookie or it's a huge double chocolate brownie. And it's always when I'm craving chocolates so ofcourse I'm gonna eat it.

    Burn those cals girl! Show him why it's a bad.. well.... good idea to bring those yummy treats home!:tongue:

    I agree. They put the cal content of the GOOD foods, but not the bad....thats how you know they are REALLY bad! I recently found out that those thick bacon burgers from Chili's have 1200 calories in it! thats not including the fries that come with it! OMG

    Well, I did go running and burned over 650 calories...

    I made my hubby go with me...It went by quickly and was more fun with him running along side me. WHEWH!!! I didn't burn off the entire brownie nightmare, but at least I am drinking my water, went running and he learned a lesson too!

    DO NOT FEED THE WIFE JUNK!!!

    :tongue:

    Can I just say...the dessert was NOT worth it! No wonder I'd never been to TGI Friday's before! GRRRRR!!!!

    Don't log it..... just consider it your plateau buster!

    This was my first fall off the calories and junk wagon.

    What irritates me the most is that I figured about 800 calories for the entire dang thing. Then I cut it in half, didn't eat part of the top, left the sauce on the side, and munched it.

    I'm okay with cutting most junk food in half or 1/4 and splitting with the kiddos...I have no clue why I wasn't thinking tonight.

    I like the "plateau buster" idea. :bigsmile:

    I totally need to get over it and move on. All in favor say, "Aye!"

    I'm tellin ya, I had a couple days with that darned birthday cake (we had lots of birthdays in April and May) and believe it or not, I think the jump in calories actually helped me lose weight. Back to that zig-zagging calorie post.....

    How's your chin?

    Thank you beep!!! I'm glad you brought it up about the different calorie days. That knocked me in the head and well, I'll just keep logging, moving, and eating healthy and I'm sure it will all be okay. WHEW!

    Chin is doing pretty good... My knees started hurting when I ran, so I just lightened my pace and that helped! I'm still bruised on my knees. What a goof. LOL

    Thanks again all!

    LOL I'm just thankful he ran with me...I think I would have given up 10 minutes into my run had he not pushed me.

    He promised even before the run to never do it again unless we agree to the munchie. WHEWH!!!

    I want to know about your trip!!!

    Okay so mind in the gutter - immediately, if my husband suggested "burning off the calories" after a TDY we're not hitting the pavement, if yaknowwhatImean.. :wink: Secondly, I thought - hmm wonder if you could log those type of activities - fitlinx had it in their system...
