Finally motivated.... So, Hi guys!

Hey there! I'm Kyzzen and I've got a bunch of weight to lose. I was born a heavy kid (ten pound baby, believe it or not) and ate fast food every day from age 13 - 18 (Currently 18). Everyone in my family is on the heavy side, so it seems to run in the genes. My mom got very sick, and wasn't able to make dinner, so fast food was the simple option. Of course, things went from a mighty kids meal to a double quarter pounder with cheese in no time.
So, as you can tell from that bit above, I've got some work to do. Things in my life just aren't going the way I'd like...
I'm doing something about it. I'm getting healthy, fit and happy. I started dieting on Jan 17, 2011-- following a 1200 calorie diet plan. My family is doing a "Biggest Loser" contest, so they're a little motivating.. We weight in every Monday and congratulate each other. Or, pay the price if we've gained.
Since I've started, I've lost 11 pounds(Two weeks, 11 pounds? not bad. ). Yes, I'm being healthy and eating all I need. It's all portions. I haven't started working out yet, but that comes next. I plan to use the P90X(daily) and go to the gym for basic cardio (four days a week)-- And of course, track it on here.
I'd like to get down to around 130-145. I've got a long road ahead of me, but it's well work the wait / effort!
Thank for reading
Can't wait to share my success story~

HI!
i'm also a newbie here! You already sound like you have made great progress CONGRATULATIONS!
The first step is starting... i currently weigh i think about 130-135 and i want to be around 110...i'm short so the extra kilos are noticeable.
I only joined yesterday but going through all the diff topics and conversations has already been a great motivation too.
I just started watching australias biggest loser here which has just started on t.v and i think its a great motivation to see people that are so much bigger then me getting off their butts and seriously working out when i'm too lazy to get off the couch
That is what gets me going...if they can do then so can i!
Good luck and i hope you keep sharing your journey with everyone as i hope too as well (hopefully it's the push i need to seriously get myself moving and eating healthy)
GOODLUCK!0
