Belly pop?!

Has anyone experienced this or know why its happening? I have been doing the elliptical 30 min every day, plus some strength exercises every other day, but recently started doing specific exercises with weights for the abs and sides of abs..,anyway, I just started noticing, that my belly seems to have popped out MORE! But I have like an indent to the sides which makes it look more pronounced! Does that mean the muscles are changing? I'm 52 and look preggrrs, lol.

  • I believe its because your building the muscles up underneath and still burning the fat on top. I experienced the same thing and that was the answer my fibro doctor gave me. After about a month it will even out :)
  • That means you're working your ab muscles. Think about it...what happens when you work a muscle? It gets bigger! The fat on top will still be on top, so it gets pushed out.
