It depends on what you're getting your sugar from. I just ignore the sugar from fruits, as it is naturally occurring in the food. If you're eating a lot of processed foods with added sugar, I would watch it more carefully.

I tend to go over on sugar as well. One of the things I am going to try to cut back on are frozen meals for lunch at work. They tend to have sugar and tons of sodium as well. Are you eating many frozen meals?

It depends. Are you getting your sugar from natural sources like fruit and milk? Or is it coming from added sugars in foods and refined sugar? If it's just fruit and milk, you're getting natural sugar and it's nothing to worry about. If it's added/refined sugar, you need start cutting it out because it's not good.

On this basis I wouldn't worry about it.

Depends upon the sugar. I tend to not worry about dairy and fruit sugars too much, since they are natural. I also try to get my sugars from natural sources too... like honey or maple sugar or stevia, if necessary. Your body recognizes real sugar and knows what to do with it. I try to avoid the fake and processed junk. Your body also needs some sugar/carbs post-workout to feed those muscles. Some is good for you. If I go over it's usually due to milk/, fruit or super dark organic chocolate. :D
