I have been running for a year now and recently started upping my miles (again) to get ready for the next half marathon. My knees don't hurt, but the feel a bit "creaky" after I do 6 or more miles. I imagine I can actually hear them making noise, but I'm sure it is just my imagination...Has anyone taken glucosamine? Successes? Failures?

Thanks!

I just started taking a product called Sam-e Joint for the same reasons and will be interested in the other answers for people who have taken it longer. I can't say that I have noticed a difference yet, but I am in my second week so still too soon to tell.

    Sam-e Joint:
    200 mg S-Adenosyl Methionine
    525 mg Glucosamine HCI

I am interested to hear other product recommendations as well as I picked this one at random at my local health food store.

  • Yes, I take it everyday and find it very helpful. My knees get sore and I'm genetically not very lucky in that area (both parents have had knee replacements). I run around 20-25 miles a week right now, preparing for a full marathon in May.
