Do the ads on this site motivate you?

Not to gripe about my free service - but it's just not nice to have to see a cupcake or bulge of fat every time I log in. It's normally right before I eat and it makes me want a cupcake!

I would have to agree! I hate seeing the pretty chocolate cupcake with yummy blue icing every time I am on here!! It makes me want to eat it! I try to think positive, however, and think of it as a reminder to the exercise I would have to add if I did eat a cupcake!
  • I don't even notice them realy. Now that you mentioned it, I'm taking a look. Actually, they're kind of annoying - just clutter in the way LOL

It is different adds for every person. It goes on your web browser history. If you delete your temporary internet files and cookies it should be blank for a while at least! Mine was groupon and a big ol' cheeseburger for a long time and then vitamuffins then Jillian Michaels! it was annoying! I read on hear about the cookies :)

Mine is showing some great looking french fries right now. Not exactly the right type of motivation, and it's put bad ideas in my head.
  • i have notice them but they don't do anything to motivate me, ads are just part of having a website.. necessary evils i guess.

They're based on your personal computer's cookies/files. The site is free because MFP allows other advertisers to view your stuff in order to post stuff you might be interested in purchasing. Browse the web for healthy stuff. All I see are vita muffins, workout DVD advertisements, etc.

Never really notice...there is one I did though...the girls waist/stomach...she is wearing light blue. I would love to look like her but other then that I don't pay too much attention.

ETA: Perfect now that I noticed...I have to reclain my brain and get "big arms" sheesh
  • That is crazy! I was wondering why I kept seeing a chevy impala as the ad since I just bought one. Very creepy:devil: if you ask me lol
