Has anyone used psyllium husk seeds as a appetite suppressant, and if so what was your experience with it? I was looking into getting the Full Bars when I saw a thread about this on another side. One of the posters said that his is what she uses as an appetite suppressant, and that it helps.

I'm slightly skeptical because the husks look pretty big. Further, they act as a laxative and help with colon health. A lot of sites say that it is safe to use. Also would it be better to use capsules or poweder?

Thanks!

I just bought some psyllium husk powder to add to protein shakes. My trainer said they are a good addition to shakes and help give you that "full" feeling. They are also great in pre-workout shakes because they are all carbs, giving you good energy.

Never heard it mentioned for appetite control but I used them as added fiber in my morning protein shake. They also help in loweing cholesterol which is why I got them for my hubby. What supresses my appetite the most is staying active at the gym. The ones I've been using are the NOW Psyllium Husk, check it out. Oh and drink plenty of water to help with the appetite! Good luck!

i just started taking them with lunch and breakfast as i'm on a lower carb diet and was having a hard time hitting my fiber requirements daily.

Haven't noticed whether it makes me feel more full or not, maily doing it for fiber content.

No issues, seems to work as adveritised for me (if you catch my drift)
