Im offically starting and trying something new for me.. I tried setting monthly goals, and its just too long waiting to see if i reach them, I need something else to help me and motivate me to work hard.
So Im trying weekly goals. I have sat down and calcutated out from today untill September 3rd (my wedding!) of what I want to lose each week!
This way, I can learn to only weigh in once a week
and have little goals instead of bigger ones!
If anyone wishes to set weekly goals along with me, then this can be our place to talk about it, and motivate each other to reach them!!

I think weekly goals would be really helpful for me too. It's really easy for me to get overwhelmed by the big goal! I'm up for motivation!0

I have bi-weekly goals... I, too, can't wait a whole month to measure progress, but one week is too short for me--some weeks are a real roller coaster! I recommend setting goals using inches (even cm's!) in addition or instead of weight--it's an actual visual loss (there are actually less inches to look at!) vs weight can fluctuate based on water retention, muscle gain, etc.
Good luck! My first bi-weekly goal started this week, to end on V-Day... 5lbs and/or 1 inch (all over--no specific body area). Hubby is taking me to a fancy dinner if I meet it--another person to hold me accountable0 -
I do a combination of goals. I have weekly, monthly, and long term goals. I post my weekly goals on Monday and check in to see if I've met them. Usually my weekly goals are centered around how many time I'll lift/run. My monthly goals are how many lbs I want to lose that month. They way I see it, if I meet my weekly goal then my monthly goal is a shoo in.
I like doing them that way for the exact reason you mentioned, it gives me little stepping stones and milestones that I can reach until I meet my ultimate goal.0 -
