How do you add calories for items that aren't in the database? Thanks!

I find something as close as I can to what I ate and use that. I usually side with the higher calorie rather than the lower.

Go to the Food tab ---> My foods ---> create food. :)

If you made it homemade you can add the recipe into the database and it will calculate everything. But like the previous person said, I do find something similar also and side with the higher calorie count.

if its not in the database but you know all the nutritional info you can add a new food to the database adn input it all... or if you only roughly know the amount of cals you can just add them. it should give you these two options on the search results page.
  • if you only want to enter the calories for it and dont want to add it to the database then in your food diary you simply click the blue letter: "quick add calories"

is that what you wanted to know?

I'd be interesting on seeing what people are finding that isn't in the database. I probably have a pretty boring diet because everything so far has been there.
