Protein powder in coffee?

I posted this on a bodybuilding website as well, but I thought I would get answers from here as well.

I've recently got a Kuerig and have been experimenting. I decided to try making a mocha with 6oz. of coffee 2 oz. of skim milk and 1 scoop of Syntha-6 chocolate powder.

It tasted pretty good but I learned the shaker is not the place for mixing coffee and protein powder.

So, I started reading that adding protein to hot food can negate the effectiveness of the protein powder. At the same time, I read articles that stated there was no change in the value of it. What do ya'll think?

Wow...Seriously? No one has any thoughts on it?

I tried putting chocolate flavored protein powder in my Keurig coffee because I thought it might turn into delicious mocha goodness. It was kind of gross.

I used Syntha-6 which tastes awesome anyway. But If I'm going to ruin the benefit of the protein I don't want the extra calories.

No. The Syntha-6 brand mixes amazingly well.
