Sodium...Help!

This is more like a rant, because I'm super ticked off. A few years ago on the news, they're like "watch your calorie intake!" Now they say "watch your sodium intake!" It's driving me INSANE! How do they expect us to watch our sodium intake when there's too much sodium in the stinkin' food???

And now the rants over. And here's my problem...

I went WAY over my sodium intake today, and maybe yesterday. Could someone please look at it and tell me how I can reduce? I've stayed in my calorie range, but not really the other things today.

Thanks!

Try and cut out most of those packaged foods. Opt for whole foods or things you make from scratch it cuts way back. Avoid processed packaged foods, lunch meats, cheeses etc. More fresh fruits, veggies, lean meats.

I don't even need to look at your diary to know. I'll bet money you're eating prepackaged/prepared foods.

Start eating fresh and you won't have a sodium issue.

P.S. - I actually did look at your diary and see i'm right.

Yea i agree, way too much processed and packaged foods. They are all way high in sodium.

Make sure if you do go over, that you drink lots of water!

Yep the processed food (like cake and chicken patties) will kill you on the salt. Try more fresh meat, veggies and produce. They say the trick is when grocery shopping to stay along the outside walls to shop and avoid the inside isles where all the crap is.
