I just saw on TV where Tim Russert of NBC died of a heart attack!!!!

I'm a big newshound and he's one of my favorite!!!!!!!! For those of you that are familiar with him, what is Election Night 2008 going to be without his dry erase board??????????

This is awfully sad, I feel horrible for his family.

OMG hubby and I watch him too, how sad! Makes you want to enjoy every day to the fullest because you never know. We don't have tv until next week. Thunderstorm took out our dish:sad:  More time to garden. Trying to think positive. Thanks for the info Mello. By the way you have a pretty kitty.

I agree. I thought he was brilliant. I'll never forget him saying prophetically, "Florida, Florida, Florida" when asked what the 2000 elections would come down to. I will truly miss his analysis and persistent, yet even-tempered interviews.

We all worry so much about what our bodies look like on the outside. This is a harsh reminder that our eating and exercise habits truly affect the parts of ourselves that aren't visible from a mirror.

It is a shame! He seemed like a great guy. Politics will not be the same without him. He actually made politics slightly enjoyable!:cry:49442.png

I never watched him but I'd heard of him. I was reading the article and he was only 58. Holy cow, when you're my age, 58 is not that old! What a shocker.

Ditto! he was one of the only political news guys that I could watch for hours on end.

this election will not be the same without him! i was really looking forward to election night with him and his white board!

i am deeply saddened by this news...

I think it is important for a forum like MFP that we take a lesson from this and remember that we cannot live our lives as if we are immortal, we need to cherish each day, live as healthy as possible and not wallow in the trivial, minutia, and/or superficial problems that seem so important at the time.

    He will be missed....
