HRM suggestions please

I'm ready to purchase my first HRM and I'm looking for suggestions/information. Do I need to purchase one specifically made for women (or are those just for very petite ladies - my wrist measures 6.5inches)? Are the ones with a chest strap more accurate (and, if so, are they still convenient/easy to use)? What do you use and why do you like it?

Read this, it's excellent.
I have a Polar F7 and love it. Yes the chest strap is more accurate.

I bought a Digifit adapter for my iPhone and the Garmin chest strap with the ANT+ technology and love them both. I love that I can use my phone for that as well as my music/movie while I workout. I can't stand being loaded down with gadgets while I workout. I always have my phone on me anyways....and it's expandable. I can get an ANT+ bike attachment that will track my speed/cadence/etc. as well as my heart rate while I bike.0
