so i waitress on the weekends and i try to eat lunch right before i go in at about 2:00 or 2:30 and that can usually tide me over until i get off work at like 10:30 (i know, it's a long time to go without eating but i really do not have a choice... and i've gotten used to it.) but i haaate eating dinner that late and i always have so many calories to eat after my shift is over.

also, today i am going in at 1:00 pm, but working through the dinner shift and will not get out until about 10:30 or 11:00. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO GO THAT LONG WITHOUT EATING? it's so bad for me!!! any suggestions on what i can do?

Can you keep like a cereal bar, piece of fruit or something like that in your locker, or in your apron pocket? When I waitressed that is what I would do and basically shove it in my face on a 5 minute break behind the restaurant. Not ideal, but it is better than starving yourself.

You must get some kind of break within those 8 hours?? I would pack some food, bring it with you, and eat it during a break. You should not be going 8 hours without eating unless you're sleeping. Especially waitressing where you are constantly on your feet. Even if you have a 5/10 minute break, eat some fruit. Good luck.

girl!, get you a high protein slimfast shake. they are so good and the high protein shakes have less sugar/fat content than the other slimfast shakes, and you can drink them up quick....use a straw. You gotta have something to keep you goin, especially movin around for that many hours. KIM G
