As I loose weight my BMR should go down, after all weight is one of the variable in the equation. As my BMR goes down, should I decrease the number of calories I eat to continue with weight loss?

I think it will do it for you automatically. I may be wrong, but I thought it did.

just tried and it did change my bmr from my original 169lbs to my current 155.7 lbs. but like I said it hasn't changed my calorie consumption
  • It will do it automatically if you don't have it set to custom. Also, I don't think it will go below 1200 as MFP has this set to the min. amount of calories anyone should eat in a day to avoid starvation.

I could be wrong, but that's what I've noticed.

That is correct. 1200 cal/day is the minimum calorie intake a human should be taking in, specifically women. Any less may affect body and brain function due to malnutrition.
