Can I really believe that I am burning almost 1000 calories when I pull my clubs and play 18 holes (240 minutes)? If so, it's too good to be true - doing something I love and burning that many calories...awesome. I play at least 3 days per week so that means that I can eat a ton those days. Speaking of which - I normally only eat about half of my extra calories gained through excercise. I have seen people say that you have to eat them all but I can't believe that my body is going to feel like it's starving when I am feeding it really healthy food 4 - 5 times per day (small balanced meals with complex carbs/fiber/protein). The days I golf, I am allowed about 2400 calories and I normally eat about 1500 - 1700. I've lost about 5 pounds in 2 weeks so it seems to be working.

Be aware the MFP is an estimate for calories burned, and it is usually high for me. I bought a Heart Monitor now and check it on occasion against MFP, and MFP is always too high. So you are probably not burning that many calories.

What she said! My HRM is always a bit lower than the estimate here.

What she said. I golf & cannot imagine that I burn anywhere near the calories that are estimated here. Rats!
