Food items not found

What do you do when what you eat isn't found and you can't find anywhere? Or the amounts are not same? Like yesterday I ate like 7 almonds as a snack and the smallest serving I found was 1 oz and/or 1/4 cup. Or tonight I went out with a friend to TGI Friday's and got Hibachi Steak with rice. I try different options but just don't know how close it was to what I ate. I even went to their site and they don't have listings.

HELP!

you will have to add the things yourself. i sometimes find the US version is slightly different so look for Canadian ones. or i enter in the label info myself

eating out is harder if the website doesn't post the food.
  • If I can't find the exact food, I try my best to find a substitute and just use that. If you're pretty accurate most of the time, I few estimates shouldn't hurt. You also know, that if you can't find a food, you can make a custom food yourself. Just find the nutrition information online or on the food label, and create your own food. I am really surprised the TGI Friday's website doesn't have nutrition info.

You can also enter less than 1 for the serving of the thing that is bigger than what you ate.

So if you had less than 1 oz. of almonds slect the 1 oz. and in the number of servings box enter "0.5" for half of the serving, "0.33" for 1/3, etc.

Thanks Cardinal, I saved that site for future use. What I had was new to menu so not listed yet. It just seemed the best choice for dinner.

Thanks runningneo122 for the pointer I am still fairly new here and never really did calorie counting stuff.

Well thanks all I just so want to lose the weight and am enjoying the ideas, help and encouragement I get here!
