I would say 225 lbs
It's tough to say though without a current picture and weight. My goal weight is 225 and I'm only 5'7". I have close to 200 lbs of lean muscle on me so I figure at 225 I would would be about 10 or 11 percent body fat, as long as I don't lose much muscle weight.0 -
According to the BMI calculator, the highest weight that will keep you within a "normal" BMI is 189.0

I say around 175-185 if you are going for the lean 6 pack type look. I'm 5'11" and I'm shooting for 180.0

Well i don't have a current pic(need to get one) i was 286 lbs 10 weeks ago, today i'm 248. some weight calculators say i should be 172 lbs, which there is i could never see, i was about 210 about 6 years ago, i wasn't muscly but i wasn't fat.0 -

Is the BMI a good guide to go by? i just want to have a goal i can set. I set my goal on here for 200 as i am alot bigger frame than some of my friends that are 6'1, maybe i should aim for 190?0 -

I would get a scale that can measure your body fat % and shoot for around 20% body fat. BMI doesn't take into account your lean muscle and is not a good scale to measure yourself with especially if you're a male since males tend to have more muscle. This isn't a schovinistic statement it was actually taken word for word from the exercise physiologist that spoke to my weight loss group today and she's a woman.0 -
the bmi takes nothing into account for muscle or build, so I would say its a piss poor guide its based strictly off height and weight. I weigh in at 180 lbs and I am 5ft8" according to the bmi guide I am very overweight, I have dropped 15 pounds and am trying for another 15 pounds again but I am a size 34 waist and far from being very overweight. So its a general guide only I would not base much off of it unless you are the average joe who works behind a desk with average muscle mass for a desk jockey.0

Thanks for everyone's input, i think i'll keep my target of 200 lbs for now and see where i am when i reach that, also the scales with the body fat % might be a good investment..
Now off to start a new post about my calories/ exercise amount..0 -
It's about your measurements - not your weight. I'd say figure out what you want to get to and plan from there.
"The Rock" and Vin Diesel are morbidly obese, according to the BMI.0 -
It is so hard to say because everyone is different and muscle is so different. Go by how you feel and how you look and a little by the weight. I can say that I weigh way more than I look but have a bit of muscle on me and that may be why...I'd say since you are weight lifting I'd agree with 225 at your height.0

I paid about $60 for one at Bed Bath and Beyond, it was a weight watchers scale0 -

Haha i have no idea what "Bed Bath and Beyond" is im in the UK, i did see one when i bought my current scales but it was £15 more doh...0 -
My fiance is 6''1", very broad shoulders too and naturally a "big guy". His peak was 258ish, and his goal is 200. That way he can drop the body fat and gain lean muscle... So depending on how bulky or lean you wanna be I would say anywhere from 190-210!0
