TGIF ladies! I am having a pretty good day considering I gained. 191.8, up 2. Only 2 days within calories and exercise. I was feeling the cookie urge...we didn't buy GS cookies this year...so I feel left out. Thanks Barb! so, I had 3 choc/chip cookies before bed last nite. Now, I rarely eat after 7pm, and if I have a snack it is usually popcorn. I guess I could have done more damage. anyway, this am since I was up early then we ended having a 2 hr delay, I exercised!! did weighted ball workout w/Mia, then I did w2d2 of C25K. yippy. ok, now I have been modifying for my shoulder lately..and today I could not even modify. no way I can do even a girly push up. annnd, I felt thinner this am, so I tried on some jeans and I got the 12's on! tight, but OMG! have not had that size on in 15 yrs! went and was fitted for my sling post surgery, wow if felt good just having the support around my arm.
tomorrow is sectional wrestling, so could be a long day. will check in when I can. have a good weekend friends. let's all try harder to eat better and get in some activity....just like a week day. C'mon pepper's, get serious!0 -
Hi ladies....
school in service today & it was my regularly scheduled day off. So all of us is home.
Went to the 930am kickboxing class. Had this instructor before... today's class was much different from last Friday's class.
Down this week 2.4 lbs to 167.8. I feel victorious because this week I "shared" several boxes of GS cookies. I think what is helping me is the new fitness plus drinking 60-80oz of water daily. (well, almost daily)

evenin team....hope you're all having a good weekend. I went for a 4 mi walk yesterday, but didn't get in my stretch. and today, nothing. been carbing and salting it since I been up. right foot was feeling a little puffy by 3pm...visited my folks and my sis and her daughter were there. first time all our dogs were together...mix pekingese, rat terrier and my 2 pugs. holy hannah..lots of commotion!

Didn't eat well over the weekend. Too many GS cookies. Thankfully, the boxes I have left in the house are "SOLD" to others.
Due to son's 9am basketball practice, I could not attend the 8am or 9am Saturday kickboxing class. Ugh....
Didn't watch the superbowl. He was in the bedroom either sleeping or zoning out to 80s sitcoms (like Roseanne).
I was in the l living room doing cub scout financial work, paying bills, folding laundry, straightening up living room. While I was doing that.... I had two movies on - "The Sleeping Dictionary" (it's a foreign film I checked out of the library) and rewatched my DVD of "Message in a Bottle" which was a Nicholas Sparks' book. Nicholas Sparks is one of my favorite authors.0 -
Sorry MIA this weekend. Been online voting all weekend for DD. When I went to bed she was in fourth, but now in fifth. So on my breaks I will be voting some more.
Well up again Weight in at 254. Yuk took a 2.5 mile walk with the dog yesterday was happy about that.
Still no luck finding a job so I am going to try my hand at Avon. Desperate times ladies.
Total junk food fest this weekend and ate out everyday so, got to get re focus on food and walking again.Write more later0 -
hi all...lost another post... must be hitting the backspace key too much. not a good day for me. ate icky and no exercise. an I touch was put on Craigslist the day after ds's was stolen from his impounded car. sold in the city where stolen and identical to ds's. we still have receipt and case it was sold in. was only a year old. ds has called Apple and they documented serial #. now I highly doubt it is ds's, but he is not letting this go. has the guys cell number. thinks someone from towing place OR police took it. ds ex g/f mom is cop and he is gonna talk to her and see what he can do. he is more bummed about this than anything. below zero and single digits the next few days...then 30's comin by the weekend. woo hoo, heat wave!! our school district had a bond vote last week to build a new elementary at the middle/high school complex...all would be centralized. we are still paying (7 years left) for the middle school. I was against it for a lot of reasons, but it passed. I know our property taxes will be going up, and it is likely our little community will become a ghost town. have no idea what this will do to my job...more transporting I am sure. 2 towns to deliver. but then I'm not sure what is gonna happen after my surgery either. dh and my mom want me to find something else. this upsets me b/c I really like driving the bus. just when you think you are going to get ahead, just a tad bit in this sucky economy, we get a set back. of course, our biggest blow was ds OWI. dh working OT and comes home tired and growly.
Jacque..thinking of you...my mom has worn Avon make up for years. I hope it all works out for you. I voted 2x for your dd. how long can we vote?

Well this has been a very busy week end, working and sleeping is all I was able to do. I have Thursday off of both jobs need some sleep really bad. I just have a quick appointment in the am then doing nothing for a whole day and early to bed. I have been kinda watching what I am eating. dont feel like I gained anything this week and all the walking in the snow and ice I am hoping for at least a pound gone. Shall see on Friday
Kelly it is really nice your ds ex's mother is giving him advise. Hang in there everything will work out. Some days I think I am doing really good with eating, but other days I want to eat everything. I think it is because I am working all the time I am using a lot of energy.
Jacque I will email you my number so you can join in texting. It is easier for me to keep in touch when it is so busy. The second job does help with catching up with all the bills. This friday I am paying off a stupid loan I took out before the holiday. It is costing me an extra 400 a month but then as of friday I wont have to pay that anymore and that will help big time. I hate when I screw up and make a stupid mistake. I always costs me. :grumble: But what is done is done :laugh:

trying to do better here. back to logging food and getting water in. the exercise planned for this week is just not gonna happen. head feels kinda dizzy today, and was nauseated earlier. lots of illness going around...kids missing on bus route. gotta stay well for my surgery.

hey everyone. well, feeling pretty good right now. have not taken my meds yet, so think yesterday's wooziness was from my new dose of Bupropion. not sure how long it will take to get used to this new level. will be 2 weeks tomorrow. what seems to be most noticeable, is the jitters I feel in my upper body, head. I see Dr next week for pre surgical physical. 1/2 day here for in service. doing some house chores, and bills. ds going to Sheriff's Dept about I touch. hope he gets some answers whether good or bad...so he can move on. ok, gonna pop some pills and get on it. have a good one gang. Barb, let us know about your day with Martha!! get a pic!! does she give wt loss advice?? do tell! lol, jk.0

Hey all!
Well yesterday was a bummer for me. I was diagnosis with psorasis and is having testins done for a nice new diagnosis called Metabolic syndrome (other words FAT). Along with injection for a condition i haave since I was 16 short name HS.
DD is out screwing up again, so this morning I said if no change by end of week she out.
DS decided to take a day off of school, regardless of the issues he having at school. So yeah total STRESSED which by the way is a condition that worsen Metabolic syndrome(FAT).
So as i sit here and ponder, I realize I have one month to show the doc how serious I am to losing weight so i don't have to take meds. So with that said- please if you have the time, because it so easy not to get on here if i want to hide. i would welcome any reminder texts you all want to send. Like have u walk today, log ur food yet, anything would be great and i will do the same for any of you if you want.
So about the trip, i am so in!!!!!!! I get my Money on the 22nd and plan to buy tickets as soon as I get it. So I will try to get a ticket to be there late Thursday April 29th and return home on May 1st. If thats what eeryone wants to do. I don't have a credit card to do the room. If someone else wants to book the room and let me know the cost I can pay my share before we go or at the time we get there. Well l;et me know what you all think.
So I already logged my food on so I just need to follow it. Plan to walk when I get home tonight, was raining to hard this morning. Even if I have to go to the mall I plan to walk i have I have only a month to show I am serious0 -
Jacque...sorry to hear about all that is happening to you. getting older sure suks. I am still so mad at myself for injuring my shoulder. If I had done what I always did, I would not be in this position. But, for both of us, well, all of us, better days are ahead. I have done research on MBS in the past....and have symptoms myself. I don't know specifically which ones are affecting you, but I have learned a lot the past few years....of things that have helped me. Not saying this is the answer for you...but just wanted to share.
my triglycerides were almost 600! yup..and I was still alive! exercise really helped lower it AND using ground flax seed in my cereal or yogurt.
now, if I was not taking Simvistatin for my chol, I have no idea what it would be, but I do know taking the fish oil capsules helps too. and weight loss will help both blood lipids.
diet and exercise have been the hardest for me to change....I fight with myself most days...planning it has helped. and if I exercise in the am, I have a better day all-the-way-around. but, do you see me logging it in the am? no, still not a consistent habit.
heck, I have been here 2 years...and not much change really. but small, gradual changes have a more effective, lasting result. I do know I am eating better, sometimes, and I seriously think I am here more for the friendship and support. I want us all to reach our goals and change our lives to make better food choices and get more exercise. make it a commitment ...and just really care about ourselves. when I think about it, it just seems so simple...it is my choices every day, in the end that will get me where I want to be.
I LOVE your idea about being accountable. yes, I am willing to do that. I think it would help us all and help with motivation as well. if you have specifics, please let me know!
I have come to realize that I have an emotional addiction to food. I was not like this in my teens or early 20's. Life happens to all of us, and we just need to cope in healthier ways.
RE Vegas!! I can book the room, just need to know where. Have been checking some, and if anyone else has info, share!

kelly thanks for all the encouragement. I was taking fish oil up until 2 weeks ago, it started bothering my stomach. I had a physical in December and all my labs were fine. but the new doc want to recheck them. So we wait with bated breath.
I say for the hotel the cheepest in the middle or close to everything so we can walk eveywhere, since I know we will be eating too good LOL.
I need prayer everyone. my daughter is acting up again, took off last night and I have not heard or seen her since. So trying to work but freaking out too.0 -

my mom had prob with fish oil bothering her tum too. I think she stopped taking it and is now taking flax in pill/capsule form. another way you can get fish oil is thru fish, so don't know if you like it or is an option, but my cardiologist suggested I eat it 3-4 x week, and he said tuna. Not gonna happen. I like cod, shrimp, walleye, talipia, scallops...either baked, steamed, stir fry or grilled. (funny a spell error came up for talipia and so I clicked for correct spelling and Taliban came up..wow!) Tomorrow is my errands day, plus taking son to college, so I will be getting my lipids checked, eh bout 3 weeks late. I have no idea what they will be considering I have slacked on everything that I am suppose to be doing...per Dr.
I think rates at the Imperial Palace were the most affordable. I don't think they have a suite tho. 2 queens and a small table with 2 chairs...location is the best. Quite a few casinos have buffets, which to me are the best for making healthy food choices....or if you're like me sometimes, indulge in all they offer there is a Subway not too far. IF we decide to go *downtown* I would suggest getting the bus pass for transportation. There is no way we can walk it. There is a ton to do on the strip.
Our tax lady should be getting our info today. As unfair as it seems our return usually goes to my dh, since he makes 90% of our income. And, it usually ends up goin towards credit card debt..which will likely not be paid off til summer?? I will use my paycheck for this trip. My money right?:drinker:

Fish oil - I got a prescription for Lovaza (fish oil). I take 2 capsules, totaling 2 GM. I'm supposed to take 2x daily but take 1x day at night. Found not at stomach upsetting at night. The only problem I have is belching. If my stomach is empty and needs food, I will belch. Didn't happen to me until I started taking Lovaza.
The surgeon in my military unit suggests fish oil to all his patients over 40. Over the counter or prescription - doesn't matter. Depending on your health, a prescription may be better.0 -

was hoping to get to bed at a decent time tonite...errands tomorrow, son to college, blood work, groceries.. busy! a little short on water today, no activity, but ok on food. I will be flying Allegiant to LV...it's over $100 cheaper than commercial airlines. But flights leave on Fri only, return Mon...is it gonna work for us all to arrive and leave on the same days? for April 29 - 30 May 1, the room is $291, or $97 each...that is for 3ppl. Waiting to hear on Cindy & Vita.
