Out of town trip--hyperventilating here!

I'm leaving this afternoon after church for a 3 day business related trip. and won't be back until late Wednesday night.

I'll have internet access at my hotel, so should be able to at least keep in touch some but will be staying pretty busy.

But I'm really stressing over food and exercise while I'm gone. I know it's only 3 days but I'm so freaking that I'll come back, step on the scale Thursday, and have gained 10 pounds (that's an exaggeration I know but you get my drift)

I'm taking some food with me and have a frig in the hotel room, too, so am hoping to avoid too much restaurant food but won't have a way to cook anything. Taking my light wheat bread, sugar-free jelly, Simply Jif PB, apples, and Cheerios though, so breakfast and some lunches will be covered!

I won't be able to get in any exercise unless the hotel, which claims to have a 'work-out room' pans out--then I might be able to do some gym stuff if I have time.

Worst part is, I've got almost an 8 hour drive there and back! That means 2 meals in the car both ways  and traveling tends to make me retain fluids

And, I won't have my scale for 3 whole days

Anyway, will check in now and then to make sure everyone is behaving themselves! Except you guys on the Gutter Gang--there's just no controlling you!

Just do the best you can. Don't stress to much over it. If you pick wisely and are aware of what you are eating you should do fine.
You might very well retain so just don't weigh yourself on Thurs. wait a day or two so your body can adjust.
    Have fun:flowerforyou:

Don't stress, it'll be ok. When you're driving pack your lunch and snacks in a cooler just as if you were going to be working for 8 hours. Stop every hour, get out of the car and stretch and walk around a little bit. I did the same length drive when I went on vacation and it was much easier than I thought.

Sounds like you're set up for success in the hotel. If they even have a treadmill, you'll be able to get some exercise. Do some pilates or yoga in front of the TV at night.

Hope it's a succesfull trip. Be Safe!

I SO feel your pain. I am going away from July 1-9!!! I may be able to get on the internet here or there, but not often. I just have to trust that I have learned a lot the past few months about what foods to eat and portion sizes, etc...and do the best I can! And I won't be able to go to the gym either..so I will try to get in walks or whatever I can.

Just know it's only a few days and you will get right back on track when you get home. And trust yourself enough to know that you CAN do this, even without the internet! :)

    Good luck!!
